This Boston team confuses me, 40+ shots tonight, a 5-3 win over an Ottawa team that had been on a roll. If they could only be consistent on a nightly basis maybe they wouldn't be a defending cup team trying to crawl their way out of last place in the east.

I wonder how long Darryl Sutter's idiocy will haunt the Flames. They have the look of a team that'll finish 10th or 11th in the West for a long, long time.

Hmmm, you know, I err on the side of that was legal. He has the puck so he knows he's going to get hit, he was probably trying to flip the script here and equal what Kronwall was likely to give him. It looked close to an elbow but I think it was more hip and lower back so not illegal there, either. Plus, I bet Kronwall was trying to draw something staying down like that. Obviously, blew up in his face.

They're stuck in no man's land. They have hardly any good prospects and aging and severely overpaid players. IMO they need to just accept their fate and trade Iginla at the trade deadline to a Cup contender. As much as he should probably retire in a Flames jersey, Calgary should remember how that situation turned out for the Leafs and Mats Sundin.

BTW did anyone see Jonas Hiller's new mask? It's covered with pictures of all the Ducks' players with mustaches drawn on.

I did see his elbow go up live and was thinking "Uh oh, here comes a suspension." But when you look closer, he hit him right in his face with the 'I' on Koivu and his elbow comes up as a follow through. It was just a really weirdly timed play where he's bracing himself and trying to equal what he thought was going to be a hit. Instead, Kronwall kind of pulled up and paid for it.

Definitely one of the most interesting masks I've ever seen. Sometimes you get a few people's likeness on a mask, but never your team, and especially not with mustaches drawn on. Funny!
