Yea and Nash doesn't play D either, and is a cherry picker. I don't think he's worth almost 8M cap hit because he never hit the 80pt mark(part of it was playing with nobody) and with the new CBA coming up and uncertainty of the Cap room, I wouldn't give up much for him. He has a lot of talent so I'm guessing a team would try and trade for him though if CBJ listens.

John Scott should not be used on defense, no idea why Q plays him back there so much he looks terrible.
Misplayed a puck badly, followed by a horrible clearing attempt, Vancouver had a wide open goal luckily they whiffed on it.
If he wants to play Scott on D he needs to dress 7 d-men for the game, otherwise he just needs to be used as a 4th line winger, using him on D puts way too much stress on our other 5 guys back there and especially with Seabrook being hurt right now (only day to day) we cannot afford that.
Brunnette ties it up, hopefully hes finally getting things going after getting off to a very slow start.Favorite Teams:

John Scott has no business being in the NHL. I had the pleasure of watching him come through town on terrible Michigan Tech teams. He did absolutely nothing when he played for the Wild. No talent hack.Comment

Re: The Official 2011-12 Regular Season Talk Thread
As for the Nash situation, why wouldn't you trade him when the team is as bad it is and Nash has been there as long as he has? He's their most valuable trade asset, Columbus is in need of a rebuild (again), and the quickest way to do that would be to flip Nash for good young players and draft picks if you can. You have to figure that at this point, Nash just can't fulfill his role as "the guy" and needs a change of scenery to a team where he doesn't have to be relied on each and every night to carry the team.
Of course, there's that great point that's been mentioned here in that he's an $8 mil cap hit, so chances are it's probably going to be a little difficult to find takers I'm assuming.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Plus, I'm not sure that fanbase wants to rebuild - especially when you consider they've been basically rebuilding for a decade now.
In today's NHL, goalies mean everything. Imagine if Justin Verlander could pitch every night? The Tigers might win 140 games if that was the case.
That's the equivalent in the NHL.
Mason is clearly not the one. I'd look to finding an upgrade and then adding another hardnose dman.
And I'm still not sure this team needs to be blown up just yet. Carter, Nash and Wisniewski have yet to play any stretch of games together.
I know it sucks to be patient again, but I think if this team adds a solid goalie and gets The Big 3 back in the lineup, they could make waves.
If they do have to blow it up or trade Nash, then Howsen needs to be fired.
This team has needed a puck moving dman for many years now and how many good ones has he passed over?
Not only that, they continued to try to get that home-run Russian pick for several years too.
If they had drafted smarter, this team is a playoff contender every year.Comment

For starters, how about not giving out fat long-term contracts to the likes of Wisniewski, Umberger, Tyutin, and Methot? Yuck.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. In other Blackhawks news they waived Rotislav Olesz and have called Ben Smith back up, glad to have him back and look forward to seeing what he can do this season, he was huge for us against the Canucks in the playoffs last year.Favorite Teams:

Where are all the west coast hockey fans? Hell of a win last night for the Kings. Anaheim got some great goaltending from Hiller but we finally ended it in the 7th round of the shootout. Best of all, they get to do it again tonight. Go Kings!Proud supporter of the...

The Hawks played well last night. It's nice to see them capitalizing on the power play.
It's always nice to beat Vancouver. That makes it 4 wins in a row. Up next Calgary."You got it man. I don't watch hockey." SidVish"I thought LeBron James was just going to be another addition to help me score."

Vinny scores! (if you don't know, Vinny LeCavalier is my favorite player ever)
Brett Connoly is very impressive, another goal out of him. Really enjoying the play from him and was expecting him to be solid prior to the season.
Lightning up 2-0 on the Penguins atm, hopefully they get this win after two very frustrating losses.Kenny Bell with quote of the year: "I would play for Bo Pelini against Satan himself and a team of demons at the gates of the underworld."Comment

Re: The Official 2011-12 Regular Season Talk Thread
So, chances are good I'm going to a Jets game in December. This is their home schedule for December:
Phoenix, New Jersey, Boston, Carolina, Minnesota, Washington, Anaheim, NY Islanders, Montreal, Pittsburgh, LA, Toronto
The bolded ones are the ones I would really want to go to, but even games like Phoenix and Anaheim would be nice for obvious reasons.
As for the game tonight, Evander Kane is quickly becoming a beast.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.
