It took one single power play to make me smile this season.

First time I've been pumped watching a Blue Jackets game in a long time.

Not that is matters but I guess the league agreed with Detroit that the momentum killer short handed goal should not have been allowed.

Momentum killer? I'd agree if the Canucks carried the play after that. But the Red Wings outshot the Canucks 13-2 after Edler's goal. How much more pressure could Detroit have applied there if it was 3-2 instead of 4-2?

FWIW, I agree that the goal shouldn't have counted. It also should've been 4-on-4 at the time, since the refs failed to give Kronwall a charging minor (not calling the hit dirty, but leaving your feet when hitting someone is a textbook charge, even in open ice).

What I am surprised at is that Detroit fans aren't up in arms about Kesler's attempted knee/trip on Zetterberg. Cheap play; should've been a minor and at least a fine, maybe a 1-game suspension.

I can't even chalk this kind of play up to injuries. It's like the Wild took everything that was working earlier in the season and stopped doing that.

If they think they can get by with poor effort, it's going to be the collapse of all collapses.

I know Florida is beat up but 8-0?!? Bruins beat the other 2 division leaders in the east by a combined score of 14-0 this week.

Avs set new home win-streak record with their eighth-straight win, 2-1 in OT over the Lightning last night.

It's looking like Giguere is taking over the starting goaltender spot; he's won the last four games and has looked very good in net.

All 4 lines are clicking, And the Timmah Tukka duo is imo the best goalie tandem in the NHL right now. I expected them to take that Florida game easily, I did not however expect an 8-0 drubbing. Granted the Panthers do have a lot of injuries though.

Chiarelli is a genius though, getting guys like Peverly, Campbell, and surprisingly Pouliot added so much depth. Pouliot starting to somewhat show why he was a high draft pick, maybe he just needed a system like Claude's to show that he at least has some skills.

At any rate its a very exciting time to be a Bruins fan.

Yeah, I don't think it was a dirty play; he was trying to make a play on the puck, but wound up pushing the Minnesota player into the boards.

McLeod has brought some nice energy to the Avs the past few games.

Varlamov looked good in the 1st after his long layoff. Looks like Jiggy will be in net tomorrow against the Jets (I will be there).

Wild are starting to look somewhat close to healthy tonight.

Koivu is back into the lineup.

He is SUCH a big part of the team. We seem to play much more confident with him on the ice. He is such a great two-way forward, I think it takes some defensive responsibilities off of his teammates so they can play a little more freely.

Nobody else being out has that much effect on this team. Our MVP for sure.
