Minnesota was probably just getting the fans hopes higher than they should have been and now they are compensating for the great start by losing a lot.

Yep, they were overachieving earlier in the year and were getting outshot for most of the games and winning without scoring much. They won because of their great goaltending, but reality tends to catch up to you at some point.

The Oilers were like that first month.

In another note, Washington is terrible.

Hopefully the Wings don't collapse again like the last game against Nashville but have a 3-0 lead now after goals by Datsyuk and Cleary.

With their 3-0 win over the Islanders, the Rangers are in 1st place in the east.

They're doing this without Marc Staal too. I didn't think they would be this good. Gaborik is having a great year leading the league in goals, he just needs to be healthy.

C'mon now.... it actually makes more sense than a octopus at a Wings game! TG San Jose was not the home team.

FWIW, they do the octopus because when the tradition started it took 8 wins to win the Stanley Cup. 8 wins-8 tentacles. So there is at least a rhyme and reason to it!
