Recently? They've been playing like this for a solid two months now.

I almost want to say save some of those goals for the play offs. 6 last night, 9 freaking 9 tonight, granted Calgary isn't very good this year, but boy is it fun to watch when they're playing this well, this consistently.

When guys like Poulliout, Paille and Shaun "Wayne" Thorton are contributing goals on almost a nightly basis you can tell not only has everyone bought into Claude's systems but it's that much easier to win games when you can roll 4 lines and have them all chip in rather than rely on just one or 2 guys.

9 Bruins had points at the end of 1 period. That's ridiculous. And that's not even mentioning how solid both Timmay and The Tukkmeister have been.

As Jack likes to say alot two U's, two K's two points! Not that they needed to rely on him much tonight as they pretty much destroyed Calgary but still. Is there a better tender tandem in hockey right now? I'd have a hard time saying yes.

Yeah, can't think of where the WC goes next. It's never going to Canada (Heritage Classic... every other year?), and it can hardly hold up against sun spots so I doubt any team that's south of ... Washington DC gets it. Colorado and Minnesota are perfect but not good enough. Gotta think in terms of ratings & money for these events, unfortunately.

Seattle needs to get a team and put it there.

Question for Bruins posters: any particular reason the Canucks/Bruins game is a 1pm EST start, or just a schedule quirk? I swear that the majority of the games the Canucks have played in Boston over the last 25-30 years have been early starts like this, way more than any other Eastern team Vancouver plays.

I swear that the majority of the games the Canucks have played in Boston over the last 25-30 years have been early starts like this, way more than any other Eastern team Vancouver plays.

not sure why, but i hate it. gonna have to leave the house by like 1030am now.
traditionally the bruins play 1pm sat games after the 1st of january. Before january the saturday games are at 7pm. Not sure why they do this, but its been this way for a while.

Just heard the Canucks are starting Schneider tomorrow. I know he's a local boy (Marblehead, MA native), but I don't like it one bit. Makes it look like Vigneault is protecting Luongo. It's not as if Lui's fragile confidence hasn't already been shattered and rebuilt several times already, so what's one more potential shellacking? He's going to be mocked by the Boston crowd regardless, might as well be on the ice instead of on the bench.
