I was reading somewhere that Howard is actually on pace to break Brodeur's win record of 48. Howard currently is on pace for 49. Doubt he'll do it, he'll probably fatigue down the stretch as often as he starts, but it would be pretty cool.

I don't see why he couldn't. He is one of the best goalies in the league on a great team with a below average back up. I agree fatigue may be a factor but I wouldn't be surprised if he does. 34 games left in the season, he will probably play in at least 28 if they are still in a dogfight for first in the central. So 20-8 isn't that out of the question I think.

Makes me wonder if that Lucic hit on Miller did some lingering psychological damage, because really he hasn't quite been the same. Granted I don't see enough Buffalo games to know how the defense has been in front of him but I wonder if he's now afraid of getting hurt and its affecting his confidence or something of the sort.

On paper they should be a much better team than their record shows.

Another nice road win for the Avs last night. McLeod with a BREAKAWAY GOAL and Mueller scored again. Jiggy was sharp, as he's been all year. He's got to be the guy going forward if the Avs want to stay in the playoff chase.

Playing at Anaheim tonight; should be a tough game.

So are the Flyers coached to hit high and late or what? I'm all for physical hockey being a Bruins fan, and that was a damn exciting game to watch. But I'll be curious to see if Sestito gets a call from Shannabanned on the blindside hit on Horton that sent him back to the locker room for the rest of the game. Eerily similar to Cooke's hit on Savard.

Eh that hit wasn't as bad, it was late though. There were 3 or 4 late, high, philly hits in that game. Like I said, Boston plays a physical game, I have no problem with physical hits, but some of those philly hits were bordering on cheap shots.
