No one gave the NY Yankees enough credit going up against a stacked Phillies team a couple of World Series ago.

How did those series work out?
Ah yes. Who could forget those plucky underdogs from 2009, the 103-59 Yankees, bravely toppling the juggernaut 93-69 Phils? Nobody believed in them, but they nobly persevered against all odds.

        And you miss the point...

Record does not matter. The Yanks had a better record but the Phillies were considered the better team due to pitching. In the post-season, the Yanks had a 3-man rotation and AJ was iffy. The Phils were solid in that playoffs, more so then the Yanks. The Phils were considered, by many, to be the favorites in that series. Not that different then how many feel about the Kings before the series even starts.

You don't need to be smart-alecy in your response. If you don't agree with my assessment, that's fine. But, you could be nice about it.

I can certainly see the Rangers or Devils beating LA, though the Kings would have to be considered the favourites coming in. What would concern me if I were a Kings fan is a long (9-10 days) layoff before the start of the SCF, and how the team would react facing real adversity (ie, trailing in a series).

Johnny Johnson? How can one list iconic Patrick Warburton characters without including both Joe from Family Guy and, more importantly:

Game 3 eerily similar to Game 1.

Rangers had no right being tied 0-0 at the end of 2.

This is where having a guy like lundqvist in net makes the difference.
                            Go Yankees
                            Go Rangers
                            Go Giants
