Beautiful shot by Toews. Can't wait for another OT game in game 6.

I really needed to see the playoff win drought go by the boards before I could truly get excited about the Blues again (though I've followed them this year more than in the recent rebuilding years). Too much heartbreak and ten long years.

Well, it might make a little more sense when I say that I'm from MO, and the Note is the home state team I pull for. Why the Cubs, then? Basically, because I grew up watching them on WGN (they used to be on there practically every day, not like nowadays).

These have not been two easy teams to root for, historically.

I'm a Cardinals fan and Blackhawks fan, I think I got the better end of that deal .

My reasoning is though that my dad is a big hockey fan and Blackhawks fan so I grew up liking Roenick, Belfour, Chelios, then the Amonte years without much else, and onto now. I also picked up being a Browns fan from him though unfortunately. My dad isn't much of a baseball fan though and living in St. Louis I went to Cardinals games from a young age with my uncle and cousins so fell in love with the team.

I agree though definitely seems weird when the two cities have such huge rivalries in the NHL and MLB and being on opposite sides of the rivalries.
