Hell of a game going on over there. Doesn't look like a #1-#8 series. And it even has goaltending!

There hasn't been a single penalty called in any overtime playoff game this year.

These players really become disciplined when it's overtime!

              Turris with the winner.

Ottawa is putting up quite the fight.

That play in the 2nd period where an Ottawa player saved the puck from going in by shooting it out looks huge now.

Also, apparently Ottawa fans were chanting "Alfie" every time the clock hit 11:11.

Tons of heart by Ottawa. They could have rolled over when they got down 0-2, but they battled and refused to go down in front of the home fans. That was a laser by Turris.

The last time the 1st place team in the regular season failed to win a single playoff game was in 1938.

What was going on in the NHL during the 1937-38 season?

                            - It's the first season icing was used. The red line wouldn't be invented for another decade
                            - The New York Americans and Montreal Maroons were still around. The Original Six era wouldn't begin until 1942-43
                            - Eddie Shore won his 4th and final Hart Trophy
                            - The 1st place Bruins and 2nd place Leafs both received a bye to the semifinals, at which point they played each other (this whole "playoffs" thing was still working the kinks out)
                            - All series were best-of-5. It was the last season before the NHL went to best-of-7
                            - Chicago finished with the 7th best record out of 8 teams, yet won the Stanley Cup with a 14-25-9 record and a goal differential of -40 (in 48 games!), by far the worst team to ever win a Cup
                            - when I visited Chicago in August 2009, I had lunch at Portillo's, where the original 1938 Stanley Cup banner from old Chicago Stadium now hangs

I can't lie, in a sick twisted way I kind of hope the Canucks can come back to win this and the Hawks can get past Phoenix, doesn't feel like the playoffs without a Canucks/Blackhawks showdown, gotten too used to it the past 3 years.

So Daniel Sedin just skated by Dustin Brown who was on a knee, and elbowed him in the face.
