Re: The Official 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread
With Chicago one game away, I'd much much rather see a 4-team playoff amongst the last 4 champions. Retread or not, you don't see that in sports. Not to mention, LA vs. Pittsburgh sounds pretty damn good to me.Comment

Re: The Official 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread
Sure, no one outside of Michigan will complain if Detroit isn't in the conference finals, and that is a quality final 4, but honestly, if/when Detroit goes out, I'll be making like the Wings and golfing on the weekend...Comment

They're really the most deserving of being the last 4 standing. These teams are the cream of the crop. No hot Cinderellas this year.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: The Official 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread
I would love to see the Kings advance. How great would it be for the league to have the last two champs meet in the finals?
But really, I don't care who wins the Sharks-Kings series. I want them both to win, but don't think they can get by the Red Wings/BlackhawksRed Sox|Patriots|Celtics|UConnComment

Re: The Official 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread
I know it sounds so defeatist, but honestly - would you really put more than a throwaway sum of cash on the Wings tomorrow even at really long odds? I think everyone feels they had to knock out the 'Hawks in game 5 or 6, and that Chicago would be the overwhelming favorite going back home. I mean, we've all seen this opera before (many times, with many different casts). I'm not saying they have no shot, but I have no expectation that they're going to go into Chi-town tomorrow night and take a game 7 on the road from the team that has been the best all year and who is now playing inspired hockey. I expect them to lose, as do most people if they're being honest.
I don't think the Wings would get by either of the Cally teams, after playing 14 games through rounds 1-2 and not being particularly physical to begin with.Comment

Well as a Kings fan I've never experienced a game 7. (Became a fan during their playoff drought/ rebuilding years.) I don't even know how to feel about the game tonight. Both teams could have easily ended this series already so it's only fitting that it comes down to a one game playoff.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights
NCAAF: Ohio State
NFL: Minnesota Vikings
MLB: Chicago CubsComment
