Lol like I said, I hadn't followed closely until this year. However, I have watched all or part of every game since Boston-Toronto Game 6. Where I live, hockey isn't high on the TV priority list. Hell, if the Stars and Rangers were playing at the same time, I most likely wouldn't get to see the Stars.

However, thanks to the games I have seen recently, I'm really starting to enjoy hockey and am going to try to watch it a lot more.

And thanks to OS and the um...answer to my question, I now know that playoff games don't go to shootouts. See? One step at a time.

Solid first 20. Both teams played pretty close to the chest. Should be a good 2nd.

I swear this series has been playing like an NBA series with all the "runs" where one team will dominate the other for a 4 minute stretch, only to have that completely flip for the next 4 minutes.

I hate when the media picks up on stats like this. I've probably heard 20 different people on different media platforms (radio, TV, print) bring this stat up (that the team who scores first has won every game of this series) like they're the only one who realizes it. Lol
Considering it's only happened once before, people just want to make you aware is all.

LA had the best chance of that period to me...luckily dodged it.

Considering 5 of the 6 games have ended either in a shutout or a 2-1 score, I'm guessing pretty good.

That period was the opposite of solid for me. I feel bad for all those talented kids in the Memorial Cup who are destined to be ground into dust by Sutter, Hitchcock, Torts, and their paint-drying brethren.

Meh, I knew what I was getting coming into this game. It's a game 7 in the playoffs; I'm pretty easy to please. Haha

Kings better start finding ways to win faceoffs or at least make it a little tougher for San Jose to win them cleanly. Tough to get any kind of control when you never start with possession.
