Finally Oduya scores. Howard is playing great tonight.

Wings are outclassed at every single position, on every single line. They probably have the better goalie, but Crawford's been allowed to take the night off, so there's no way to tell.

Gonna be a very quick series. This is varsity vs. JV out there.

Hawks dominating. I notice a game gets to a certain point and the refs just close their eyes. Both teams getting away with more blatant stuff than what got called. Why stay on the ice if you aren't going to call anything? Given what they have called maybe that's not so bad...

This series will be short. 5 games at the most.

Aside from maybe 2006-2010, it's always been this way.

Great play by Seabrook there. I hate that game two isn't until Saturday, especially because I have to work so I'll miss it.

I could live with that, have a feeling it goes at least 6 though, Howard is playing great and I think he'll steal a couple, I hope I'm wrong.

Dominated. We need to go back to the drawing board and find a way to flip this script. Or dust off the Callaways, either way...

I can see 2 PP to none but 5... having watched the game I think were some ticky tack calls on the Caps and a few non-calls on the Rags.

As a Pens fan you wouldn't understand because you never have to deal with it. The Pens always get the ticky-tack calls in their favor. Like the one Crosby drew in OT against the Isles. That shouldn't have been a penalty in regulation much less overtime in Playoff game. Back in the day, the ref swallowed the whistle with about 10 minutes to play in the 3rd.

yup, league wants the Pens to win, they take no penalties and get all the calls. oh wait..

Against the Isles, PIT had 21 PP to the Isles 20 which isn't bad. But you also have to look at some of the calls and when they are made. Like the Crosby phantom call in OT...

All that aside, PIT went 7 for 21 on the PP in the series. If they would have the PP deficit the Caps had, they would have only had 12 PP chances in the series, would have only scored 4 goals on the PP and would have most likely lost the series to Isles.

So Raffi Torres is suspended for the remainder of the series. I guess this means that Stoll is probably done for at least this series as well.
