So apparently Horton's contract wasn't insured. Columbus wanted to pay someone to play rather than pay someone and have him not play. Toronto can afford to eat the money. Columbus can spend to the cap but they can't really afford to throw money around willy nilly.

Though best I could come up with might be Habs with Bryan Allen(3.5M in AHL right now). Still wouldn't mind that. Just help them out by freeing up cap space for them and in exchange, maybe they give Leafs a draft pick or something?Last edited by Majingir; 02-26-2015, 10:51 PM.Comment

Great job Flyers, dropping back to back to Carolina and Toronto. Just proves we don't deserve the playoffs unless a team wants to give away their spot.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

That's what happens when we're playing Rob Zepp and Emery in goal when Mason is out. There's obviously other issues, but our backup goalie situation is so bad.Comment

Despite that, if the Sharks were willing to take back Weiss' contract, I'd be all for having Thornton center the second line. The Weiss/Sheahan/Helm hydra hasn't really got the job done offensively.Comment
