Re: The Official 2014-15 Regular Season Talk Thread
I am really, really dismayed by fellow Sabres fans. These people are straight up celebrating losing. What a horrendous culture. I should have known better than to throw my lot in with people who have such a losing culture.
I just can't believe that there are fans of teams that are happy to be so awful. All in the name of a draft pick. Pathetic. Utterly pathetic. What a turnoff.
I hope both this McDavid guy and this Eichel guy have terrible careers. Losers should never be rewarded for losing. Ever. Maybe a run of a few busts will break this notion in sports that if you're not a title contender, you should just be the worst you can be. What a ****ing awful mentality. I have no idea how or why this sentiment became so popular among sports fans. It's recent though. Like, within the last few years.
Starting to rethink my fandom with this ****. The team being bad doesn't bug me nearly as much as people who are happy we are bad and get upset when we win. How terrible must it be for the young talent on the Sabres to see the people who are supposed to be rooting for them actively rooting against their development.
Best we can do is hope they get jobbed by the draft lottery.Comment

6 years/25 mil for Brodin. I think that's a great deal. Glad he's signed long term. Hopefully Granlund follows suit when it's his turn!University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Hockey

David Clarkson just got hammered. Happens to him a lot actually. The guy has zero hockey sense, is a poor skater, and as a result puts himself in really stupid and vulnerable positions. Great hit by Glass on him.Comment

So Kessel scored a couple points so far, and even Clarkson has a goal.Comment

I feel bad for him, he seems like a great guy but whether it's the dysfunction of the Leafs team or injuries (and serious one to the head with concussions) he's never been able to get on track with his career.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: The Official 2014-15 Regular Season Talk Thread
Have they always played afternoon games on Columbus Day? Seems weird since a majority of the population still has to work today. Or is this because of Canadian Thanksgiving? Though I'd think they'd have Canadian teams playing if that were the case.
I see the Avs finally scored!Comment

Yea, I believe they've always played day games on days of minor holidays.Last edited by kehlis; 10-13-2014, 03:11 PM.Comment
