Flyers picking up where they left off with leaving Mason out to dry...
I actually forgot I had so many questions about him all last season. He made me a believer last postseason. Every year is a new evaluation but I know he can be the guy.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: The Official 2014-15 Regular Season Talk Thread
Seems kind of political to me. We know about the NFL's concussion issues, well these players are on a surface and using an apparatus that allow for even more velocity and ferocity as far as collisions go. Pronger's history is well documented, but as an offender and as an example of the other side. The NHL can say they're trying by having formed the DPS and working with ex-players.
Also, and I'm not clear on the money situation, but I don't like this as a Flyers fan. I know we made the deal with Pronger so it's kind of a tough luck situation, but he's hanging on for what reason? I hope he's not screwing us over by doing that. Pretty sure not because there would be an uproar over it, but even working with the "enemy" as technically a current employee rubs me the wrong way.
Am I off base here? I kind of feel like an ******* even bringing this up because I don't want to see players losing years off their lives for our enjoyment. I guess mostly I'm just very uninformed to the whole Pronger situation.
However, leaving aside the fact that Pronger's one of the dirtiest players in NHL history (using this logic, wouldn't criminals make the best judges?), this situation is bogus. There's no way an active player should be a league employee. If Pronger's well enough to take an office job, he should retire as a player. If I'm a Devils or Rangers or Penguins fan (or anyone in the Eastern conference, really), do I want a Flyers employee helping determine how many games one of my players get suspended for? Total bull****.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. Sportsnet so far: glitches, Mark Messier, idiots, snafus, boring Strombo interviews with boring players, Leafs nut-hugging, plus a promise to not talk about the business of the league anymore (ie, only feel-good fluff and character/grit hot takes from now on!).
The good news: by the time their contract's up, I'll only be... 54?

Bob is THE man. He makes the SN guys look like chumps (and not the ones they've poached from other networks)

I think I'm gonna cheer for the Stars in the West. Being in Texas, that's pretty much 90% of the hockey I get. Plus, they just rebranded and they have a couple former Bruins.Boston Red Sox

Ooh, just saw the MTL-TOR highlight at the intermission. Tough way to go down for the Leafs. Off the skate with less than a minute left.University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Hockey

Ah man, I just learned that we won't be getting Adrian Dater's takes on the home and home series to start the season. Very disappointed. *makes fart noise*Comment
