Kings getting LIT UP on their home ice, after their championship celebration. WinGOAL with a pair for the Sharks. Already 4-0 SJ.

Ah, poor San Jose. Always a couple months early or a couple months late.

IIRC LA got blasted by Chicago when the Kings raised their 2012 championship banner.

When's the last time I heard Paul Romanuk call a Canucks game? 15 years ago? Weird.

The Canucks/Flames game on DTV was airing on a channel with a title that didn't reflect what was being aired.

Not too surprised about the "hangover" LA seemed to have tonight. I guess, at this point, San Jose can beat them in the regular season all the want.

Wild game in Toronto tonight too.

It's weird to hear Romanuk doing NHL games again after being in Europe doing the Spangler cup of all things.

Goodness, Doug Maclean and Kypreos were extra bombastic during the intermissions. It's like they were playing caricatures of their normal selves. They also seemed kind of sweaty and nervous. It was super awkward.

While I'm excited to see the Jackets, the amount of injuries they are already carrying, and the undoubted unconditioned Ryan Johansen, I'm afraid opening night is going to be a bad one for the Jackets.

Did you forget who you're playing in the opener? C'mon now. Blue Jackets win comfortably.

That Leafs-Habs game was interesting, man I missed hockey. And yeah, tough loss, but I saw some improvement over last year and I'm looking forward with hope.

And Percy was playing great, like he has 5 years of experience in league.

I'm excited to see what Reinhart can do tonight. He's got the 9 game window to show that he belongs. I hope he does.

Percy and Santorelli impressed me a lot last night. There is a lot to like about this team despite a couple of questionable goals allowed by Bernier.

Chicago over LA. I'll be shocked if it isn't Chicago vs. LA in the Western Conference finals. They're like the Giants/Cardinals in baseball.

LA over Pittsburgh in the finals.
                              You mean Chicago over Pitt?

Other than the obvious, I don't see the big hype around the Penguins this year. They could just as easy crash and burn (by that I mean out in the 1st round) under new management.

Yeah that one. They got rid of Bylsma, Orpik, and Glass. Addition by subtraction. I have a hard time seeing their bottom 6 that much worse than in the past.

I'm not a fan of many Eastern Conference teams, but prefer Pens over others.
