So far no charges have been filed against Voynov and his first court date isn't until December 1. I'm curious to see how the NHL and the Kings handle this moving forward after the social media backlash the NFL dealt with.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights
NCAAF: Ohio State
NFL: Minnesota Vikings
MLB: Chicago CubsComment

Doesn't the fact that he has a court date mean he's been charged with a crime?
EDIT: Just read more about it. Apparently not.Comment

The Flyers and especially Giroux really need this game prior to stepping on Pittsburgh ice. If they lose this, and it looks like they will, Pitt fans will easily forget about his GW goal in Dallas and prepare the "Claudette" chants as we speak.Comment

Another day, another lead the Devils blow.
And damn, I know Severson is playing pretty well right now, but the kid makes awful passes at times. He needs more sheltered ice time, just tries to make plays when they're not there at all.Originally posted by XXstormmXXThe reason I always root for multiple teams is because if one team doesn't make the playoffs or gets eliminated, I loose interest in the sport until next season if my team gets eliminated early. This stretch without Varlamov (and their backup goalie now?) will be tough.
As I was typing this post, they just scored 2 goals in like 20 seconds to tie against Florida, and are going back on the PP now.Last edited by gopher_guy; 10-21-2014, 09:30 PM.University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Hockey

They're just not good enough on defense. I obviously watched their first two games, have only caught bits and pieces of them since then. Guys like Landeskog, MacKinnon, Duchene, etc. is a solid forward group, but I just don't think their forwards will be able to prop them up enough this year. I think they'll just miss out on the playoffs, or a wild card spot.

I kind of get that look too. I've watched every game this year.
1) I cannot believe a Patrick Roy coached team plays as heartless, gutless, and uninspiring as they do alot of the times. It's like they don't even care a lot of times. No pride.
2) Like you said, I question their defense. The biggest thing with them is they just don't seem to work hard in their defensive zone. I'm tired of seeing them get contineously outworked in their own zone, and then turn the puck over and get scored on.
Looks like they up 3-2 now and playing well.
The biggest thing, and I saw this with the Minnesota Wild playoff series last year, is they play well, put pressure and score. And immediately from the drop of the puck you could see the Wild put huge amounts of pressure and score right back (like game 7). I don't know if that's Colorado relaxing, or Minnesota responding, or Roy telling the guys to pull back, but I;'m tired of watching the long periods of no hustle and no responding. It happens alot this year too.
The team isn't good enough to be picky and choosy of when they want to skate or not.Comment

Just got home and that was by far the Hawks best effort this year. Saad being demoted to the 3rd line looked like it helped him get in gear. Bickell Kane and Raanta also were outstanding. Nashville away should be a tough one as always."You got it man. I don't watch hockey." SidVish"I thought LeBron James was just going to be another addition to help me score."

If he doesn't do that, the goal counts. But that extra movement caught the official's eye and he immediately waved off the goal.
I'm of the opinion that if your goalie gear is 'this big', then it's fair game on you.Comment
