Hate being in the western conference...get behind early and forget it. It's like you need a point every game to stay within reaching distance. Not looking like Doan will go out with a cupComment

Have the Devils been giving the Wild PK tips?Originally posted by XXstormmXXThe reason I always root for multiple teams is because if one team doesn't make the playoffs or gets eliminated, I loose interest in the sport until next season if my team gets eliminated early. It keeps things interesting if you still have a team you like in the playoffs...Comment

Re: The Official 2014-15 Regular Season Talk Thread
So I've been to a lot of NHL games in a lot of places, and a lot of Leafs games over the years (Gardens and ACC), but I had tickets last night against Tampa, and it was the worst atmosphere in any hockey game I've ever been to.
I know the ACC has been likened to a morgue for years, and at the least called "quiet", but this was something else. The building was full, of course, but it was a whole new level of dead in there. In the past when I've seen bad Leafs teams play, there are pockets of rowdiness, and vocal expressions of fandom. Hell, this was the first time I've ever been to a hockey game where people didn't stand when the home team scored! I've experienced more excitement and atmosphere at a Jays vs. Rays game on a tuesday night in April with the roof closed. What an odd experience.Comment

And then the players responded to the blowout debacle (some fans throwing their jerseys on the ice) by not doing a stick salute. Which has gone over very well in the media up there I'm sure!Comment

Yeah. I didn't even notice that. I was pretty drunk after my friend and I spent about $100 on three "large" Molson Canadian's (so much for cheap domestic) apiece. I did notice Bernier and the 3 Stars coming out for their curtain call and giving their sticks to kids at least.Comment

Re: The Official 2014-15 Regular Season Talk Thread
The situations in Montreal and Vancouver are surprisingly sane at the moment, so the Leafs media/fans/players are apparently doubling down on the crazy to entertain the rest of us.
