The Pat Quinn Leafs ceremony was cheesy as hell, but damn if it wasn't great.
The Quinn Leafs were also my best memories of being a Leafs fan. I was a kid when they had the Gilmour teams in the early 90's, but the 1998-2003 Leafs under Quinn brought me so much joy coming out of the Nick Beverly/Mike Murphy days. Rarely missed a Leafs game during my teenage years.Comment

It should be:
3 points for a regulation win
2 points for an OT win
1 point for a shootout win
0 points for a loss
The current points system basically just exists to make the standings closer than they should be and keep as many teams in the hunt for a playoff birth as possible.Comment

I don't mind the current 4 vs. 4 then shootout format, but the points system is definitely screwed up right now.
It should be:
3 points for a regulation win
2 points for an OT win
1 point for a shootout win
0 points for a loss
The current points system basically just exists to make the standings closer than they should be and keep as many teams in the hunt for a playoff birth as possible.Comment

So does Todd Richards make it to 2015 before he's fired?
Or do they give him a pass for the injuries and then fire him around this time next year?Last edited by ImTellinTim; 11-29-2014, 11:57 PM.Comment

Sharks go up 5-1 so the Ducks start gooning it up. Some things never change.
Barrie has 18 points in 24 games. He's putting up the numbers I expected Stefan Elliott to do. When you need a defenseman, draft one from Kelowna Rockets. They have a nice history.Comment

Sabres got 4 points on a B2B with Montreal and have seemed much more competent in recent games.
All the "tanker" losers are freaking out. Good.Comment

Hmm, those are the exact era of Leafs I HATED as a Flyers fan. But I'm sure that's how many feel about every era of Flyers hockey! I love how JR effectively ended that era heading into the first 2000's lockout.
So I can respect what he meant to that organization and hockey in general. And can't forget that he was on "our" side for a while too.
RIP Pat QuinnNHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

The Kelowna Rockets do seem to make some great defenemen. Hopefully Severson won't be leaving any time soon.Originally posted by XXstormmXXThe reason I always root for multiple teams is because if one team doesn't make the playoffs or gets eliminated, I loose interest in the sport until next season if my team gets eliminated early. It keeps things interesting if you still have a team you like in the playoffs...Comment

But yeah, Philly gave it back in '04, and put the Quinn era Leafs saw time run out on them with that loss.Comment
