Yeah I wasn't really too upset about it. 2 for interference, if anything. It was kinda late.

But I agree that it was just more of an unfortunate incident. Ballard put himself in a real bad position by ducking and turning the way he did.

Brutal hit but I don't think there was anything malicious in there at all.

The Leafs absolutely stole two points in Detroit last night. I just feel sorry for the Red Wings. The hockey gods were just against them.

Fair tradeoff for the Hockey Gods being against the Leafs for the past 50 years or so.

Where can we redeem these FANCY STATS for points? (CORSI by score)

                The Wild are rather schizophrenic.

The good: fantastic 5-on-5 possession stats, surprisingly good 5-on-5 shooting percentage
The bad: last in the league (by far) in TOI in 5-5, last in the league in 5-on-5 save percentage

                And then there's the PP...

Stalock is starting again tonight. I don't know why the Sharks insist on playing him more than they should. The guy is not an NHL-level goalie.

His career GAA and Save % in 34 appearances say otherwise.

But I admittedly don't watch him in the pros. He just went to UMD, so I'm obligated to defend him.

Sounds like Boston (Winter Classic), Minnesota, Colorado, and Winnipeg are all getting outdoor games next year.

Best guess for matchups: BOS/MTL, MIN/DAL (maybe STL), COL/DET, WPG/TOR (maybe EDM).

If true, exactly how many credible matchups are left? 2017 will probably have a PIT/PHI Winter Classic, an OTT/TOR (maybe MTL) Heritage Classic, maybe a Stadium Series game in St. Louis, and then...?

You're the Sharks GM, right? I would take Stalock as the Wild's starter tomorrow. We'll give you Matt Cooke for him.

His play style is too reckless. He does so many careless things that cost or nearly cost games. Most of the fans here in San Jose love him and I have no clue why. When the team doesn't play super tight in front of him, he gets exposed.

The reason he got injured against Dallas is because he was careless. His delay of game penalty could have cost the game. Luckily for the team, he got run into so Dallas also got a penalty.

Granted, I don't watch him very often at all, outside of his college days, when I saw a lot of him.

But his play style (I'd call it aggressive, to put a more positive spin on it), is what I think makes him stand out a bit. He does get too aggressive sometimes, but other times it works out in his team's favor.

As Michael Russo pointed out tonight:
                                @Russostrib · 2h 2 hours ago
Key to the entire goal was Stalock coming out to stop Haula's soft clear. Brodziak, Suter and Spurgeon couldn't get off
