Yep. Comparing Orpik to Malik led me down a rabbit hole of goal-scoring craptitude last night.

    Other fun facts:

Fewest goals scored by a player with 1000+ games: Luke Richardson (35G/1417GP)
Fewest goals scored by a player with 500+ games: Rob Zettler (5/569)

Fewest goals scored by a forward with 1000+ games: Craig Berube (61/1054)
Fewest goals scored by a forward with 500+ games: Ken Baumgartner (13/696)

Baumgartner gets extra credit for accomplishing this while playing for the late 80s Gretzky Kings and the early 90s Gilmour Leafs. He also managed to pull off an immortal 82GP-0G-1A-1PT-199PIM (!!!) stat line with the 97/98 Bruins.

PS: Shanahan's arrival in Toronto likely prevented Colton Orr from taking the crown (12 goals in 476 careeer games).

That reminds me of 12-RBI Enzo Hernandez.

Hockey topic: great performance by Lehtonen.

Calvin Pickard had a crappy team in Juniors, AHL, and in the NHL. Poor guy, made 47 saves tonight.

Eakins may have not been the primary problem in Edmonton, but I don't think he was the right man to coach that team.

I get the feeling I'm seeing a playoff preview (and the sort of collapse I've seen all too many times) in this LA - STL game tonight.

For your sake, I hope Marty in a Blues jersey isn't a playoff preview.

Example #31,267 that I have too much time on my hands: I was the one who sent in the Wayne Gretzky doll clip. (Many thanks to DGB for crediting me.)

Marty is a good example of why you need to keep it in your pants sometimes. Especially when it's your wife's sister in law.

That's right, the Devils have won two whole shootouts this season.

                          Out of seven.

It keeps things interesting if you still have a team you like in the playoffs...
