Shootouts have to go, badly. Have hated them from day 1 and still do. Stupid gimmick way to end game.

If season ended today, based on point % we'd see Habs-Rangers,Leafs-Sens,Caps-Bruins as matchups in the 1st round. After a horrible ratings year last playoffs, I think a 1st round of those matchups would be real great for the NHL. NBC fave Caps-Bruins, CBC would love Leafs-Sens, and both markets would love original 6 matchup of Habs-Rangers.

If only this season was 48 games lol.

Refs in this Flyers/Maple Leafs game are horrible.

Looking at the NHL's Top 100 list, it's difficult to tell who's more overrated: anyone who currently plays for the Blackhawks, or anyone who ever played for the Leafs.

EDIT: Just noticed that they left Malkin out? WHAT THE LIVING EFF?!?

I'm just wondering why current Arizona Coyotes Chris Pronger and Pavel Datsyuk weren't brought out with the current players.

Looking forward to skills challenge tonight. The events aren't always the most entertaining (minus the iconic fastest skater, hardest shot, accuracy shot) but still fun to just watch exhibition hockey.

Accurate shot for example, its head to head, and matchups include Matthews vs Crosby and Laine vs McDavid. McDavid also doing fastest skater. In hardest shot we got a good matchup of Subban vs Doughty and also a funny one of Weber vs Ovechkin.

                      Enough of this ****ing guy.

Hitchcock canned by the Blues. Mike Yeo takes over.

The only thing surprising about this is that it happened in-season. Yeo has been on the Blues bench along with Hitch all season and was ready to step in next year.

Patrick Marleau, slowest player to reach 1000 NHL points (1349 games), is now the slowest player to score 500 goals (1463 games). Uh, congrats.

EDIT: Looking at the list, it's gonna probably be 2021 or 2022 before we get another 500-goal scorer. Huh.

Which still isn't that far away. Not like hitting 500 goals should be an every season occurrence in the NHL.

Nash is 93 away. Another 4-6 seasons(if he plays that long) and he could get it.

Crosby has 366. So 134 away for him, so he could be the next one to get 500.

Sure it should. It used to be.

1988/89-2007/08 (20 seasons): 28 players scored their 500th career goal
2008/09-2019/20 (12 seasons): 4 players scored their 500th career goal
