They should do something like the NFL. You get to throw a red flag within 3 seconds of the puck going over the blue line for a challenge. If you're wrong as the challenging team, you get a delay of game penalty.



Meanwhile, the Lightening are +80 with a little less than 20 games to go. That's at least 32 better than any other team in the NHL. Sick.

Wasn't there a rule tested out before about a penalty from a failed challenge?

They need less time to decide challenges.

And for offsides, it should be a rule that the offside needs to be a full step past the blue line for it to count. The fact that offsides can be called due to a guys foot being less than an inch offside is ridiculous. You're telling me that a goal was only scored because 1 player was 0.7 inches offside?

I'm sure I'm madder than most because Leafs have gone 2 for 19 in challenges the past 3 years and this year alone have had 6 goals go against them in challenges (3 opponents goals upheld, 3 leafs goals overturned)

Iginla jersey retirement was fun. He had some funny stories and lines throughout. I'm surprised he never went into something like broadcasting.

He was one of my fave players. Flames run in 04 was fun to watch. And the whole winning gold at 02 Olympics.

Donato with another goal and that's 5 in a row since that trade.

And thanks to another case of awesome scheduling, the Wild now have to play another game in 16 1/2 hours vs. Nashville.

They've won every game in forever it seems like and the 1 they lost they got loser point. I think they're fine.

Although I'll be happy to see a Bruins collapse anytime now.

Leafs beat 2nd best team in the league in their building while having a Tyler Ennis hat trick. Yes, that happened.

Now if only they can play like that in playoffs VS Bruins.

No reason to keep him. But they shouldn't have basically made a lateral move. They're not a playoff team, why trade for a forward basically same age and contract as guy you gave up?
