Sabres fire Housley.

Don't know how much was his fault, but some guys did underperform alot.

Okposo only 29pts, both goalies having sv% under .910.

In offseason, besides keeping Skinner, they could still make another big move. Pominville and most importantly Moulson are off the books.

Sabres after signing Skinner could still have 20m in space to sign their RFAs and add a top 2 line player.

I think Colorado is going to make it a difficult series for Calgary. If Grubauer can stay hot, the Avs have a shot at pulling the upset.

Good chance Cale Makar plays in the playoffs too if UMASS loses to DU.

Avs' history of developing a DMen is awful, we'll see what they'll do with the most talented one yet.

Got the West matchups I was rooting for, not so much in the East (I was hoping the Jackets and Canes would switch opponents).

Safe to say I'm the only one in this thread who remembers the last Jets/Blues series, LOL.

Kucherov with the most points in a season since Mario and Mario Jr in 95/96.

I was definitely thrown off upon hearing Draisaitl was the 1st 50-goal scorer since 86/87. I remember Gretzky missed some games in 87/88, but I'd've bet a lot of money that my 15-year-old self watched (with disgust) as Kurri, Messier, or some other clown scored 50+ for the Oil. (I would've lost that bet on a technicality, as Craig Simpson did score 56 that season, but 13 of those were with Pittsburgh before a midseason trade.)

Really sad I wasn't able to watch much hockey this year, due to various factors both on and off the ice.

Hoping I can get back into it during the playoffs though. Finding it difficult to stay up once I get home from work.

I wonder what's reasoning for that.

Grew up in Wisconsin, played college hockey in Minnesota, but rejects deal to play in Minnesota, a team that while they did miss playoffs, are often one of the playoff faves.

This year they were mainly missing offense, something Kessel would've helped them with.
