Canucks gets 1-1. 4-3 after leading 4-1. Fiala with two at the end. Boy did Minnesota win that trade!


Even though Vancouver wins it kind of bugs me that I get the feeling Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson are not 100% compatible on the powerplay. EP gets isolated on that right side, they don't utilize his shot enough and it makes no sense they isolate their best offensive player on the PP. Quinn often needs too many puck touches to move that puck over to the right side quick enough. I believe their PP would be better if they could get the puck to Pettersson more often.

Referees took penalties today, made a big difference for the "skilled" players...

Can Leafs have just 1 playoff round where someone isn't out!? If it's not Kadri getting suspended it's someone being injured.

Leafs D depth is bad enough, you're now saying Ceci is their 3rd most used dman?

The Leafs offense better wake up.


I just realized they have Gm3 and 4 on back to back days. For some reason I thought game 4 was Sunday.

Good final few minutes of the Canucks-Wild game last night. Oddly, I haven't much noticed the lack of fans yet (watching on TV, anyway). The format seems a little over-complicated to me but at the end of the day, I don't really care what happens, I just want to see some competition.

Good final few minutes of the Canucks-Wild game last night. Oddly, I haven't much noticed the lack of fans yet (watching on TV, anyway). The format seems a little over-complicated to me but at the end of the day, I don't really care what happens, I just want to see some competition.

I haven't noticed lack of fans during regular parts of games, but you notice it during those big moments like penalties, big scoring chances/saves, goals and so on.

For me it's what made watching other teams pmay more exciting. Seeing all different fanbases supporting their team, hanging on every play.

Hockey works and can still be entertaining without fans if you have the right environment. Football/soccer for instance you notice the lack of fans much more.

Yes there is. The lottery for the first pick will include all the teams that get eliminated in the play-in round and they'll all have the same odds IIRC.

But we all know the most ridiculous thing would happen.

Pens and Hawks/Oilers competing for a chance at 1st overall pick. Everyone would freak out if one of them won.

Sure but your previous post was stating that the Pens would get the first pick if the Habs take them out as if it was a fact.

Yes that was kind of the point of my question. I think it's insane the first pick did not go to one of the teams that missed the playins.

Don't watch baseball except for some highlights now and then. However, for day games aren't there hardly any fans there anyways? Seems like whenever you see a homerun during a day game, there's maybe 20 fans in that vicinity.
