They actually did lose for a change. I guess they couldn't find scouting video for Country Name.

And Germany is in the playoff round for first time ever. Guess that's what happens when you play Switerzerland.

USA looked alright tonight. A bit too nonchalant here and there. Got a little worried at 3-2 but they showed good poise.

Turns out losing their top two centers and coach was too much. Ended up losing their final three games. Last two periods against Finland was hard to watch they had no energy left so Finland was the better team. Holtz was a disappointment. 3 pts in 5 games is not good enough from the expected top goal scorer.

The defenders with NHL experience didn't exactly impress either. Soderblom on the other hand is interesting. 202cm and 108kg before going to get the NHL bulk up treatment. He has nice hands aswell. Perhaps he is too slow for the modern NHL but it will be interesting to see how that guy develops.

It's still crazy seeing Levi was a 7th round draft pick by the Panthers...3 months ago! Not saying he'll be as good as a Price or Fleury or anyone close to that, but I'd call a 7th round pick playing in the world juniors a win for whatever team makes that pick.

Also got Lundell in the same draft, good early returns for them.

Jack Quinn has to be the biggest disappointment of WJC.

US has won 4 world juniors all time, 3 of them came against Canada. Only time Canada has beaten the US was 1997!

This should be a crazy ending.

Theres a stat floating around how Finland has been the only country the last 6 or so years to win the tournament while not having the top PP. The US have the top PP so let's hope Canada can be the next team without a top PP to win.
