Don't let me scare you off. It is very arcade, but at the same time very challenging and just a ton of stuff to unlock. I was disappointed at first and was planning on returning it, but I've spent as much time playing this as I have playing the pc version. Despite the obvious slant towards arcade, it's still a very fun game.

yup.....agreed.....I have never found any game like this to be so addicting.....I am a sim freak.....simulation hockey, football, etc...I run websites on simulators.....Love NFL2k3 for the sim style of play......Normally hate unlocking stuff.....But how they did this - just cant imagine how they could have done better.....its very fun and the variances of gameplay options and building your golfer is just very fun.....

Not a big EA fan myself - soured on about everything they have done - but this one is different.....they have something very fun, challenging (in different ways - mastering the swing is pretty easy)......The challenge is in the strategy at times - and that is fun itself - the thinking aspect of some courses.....

Its a total disservice to yourself to at least not rent the game and try it.....but its probably not for everyone - no game is and that is just fine by me......

Well I'm a pretty hard core golfer and I love it. I still say that even though you get the heartbeat thing a lot with the cpu golfers, it beats the hell out of Hot Shots 3 and Outlaw Golf where the CPU golfers make EVERY putt on EVERY green.
