Re: Links is BC on 360
I would love to hear some impressions of Links on the 360. I do not have my xbox anymore but now that this is BC I want to pick it up. I just hope it was done well and there aren't any major problems.
Also I guess there will be no way to pick up some of the DLC that they had for some extra courses on the 360, huh?
Thanks in advance.#WeAreUKComment

Finally! TY Microsoft. Games looks good but it is not in wide screen. Looks a little more washed out than I originally remember but I think most of the BC games have that tendancy. Kind of helps Links since its shadowing was so dark to begin with. The best part is - IT IS STILL FUN AS HELL!Comment

Re: Links is BC on 360
Just got home from work and fired up Links 2004 on the 360, after downloading the backward compatibility update....... OMG! This is un-freaking-believable what this has done for the look of this game! It is jaw droppingly gorgeous! It's not widescreen, but it's a pure 720p. The difference surpasses my expectations threefold!
I'd forgotten that I was going to have to start from scratch on a new machine (wish I could transfer my other player from the XBox), so it's pretty humbling going out raw, but the game play is unphased by the update, which is good.
Another benefit of these higher resolution graphics is that the gridlines don't blur any more. It's much easier to see the depiction of the slope on the greens with these cleaner grid line. This is not Links 2007 for the XBox 360, but it's pretty darn close... great stuff, don't miss this one if you're a 360 owner and were ever a fan of this game!Duke Football? The only way to make it display widescreen is to set your output to 480P in the dashboard.Comment

Re: Links is BC on 360
What I'm seeing in 720p is cleaner, more defined objects and sharper grid lines. It has made a significant difference in my eyes, but others may not be honed into what I'm looking at as keenly.
I had run Links 2004 on my 42" plasma back in the spring, via my XBox's component video connections at 480p, widescreen. I was disappointed in it, to be quite honest. I thought it looked grainier with the 480 scan lines spread out a bit further on the larger screen. I remembered my disappointment then and compared it to what I observed this morning and it made my experience a bit more stark than most will have. I'm going to flip back and forth between 480p and 720p tomorrow to compare again. I'm pretty sure I'll prefere the density of 720 scan lines at 4:3, to 480 scan lines at 16:9, but we'll see.Duke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach CutcliffeComment
