Re: CPU scores are ALWAYS extremely low?

the scores were reasonable for the first half of the season for me while I was battling just to make cuts. then I won my first tourney at firestone! I shot -16 including a -7 final round to beat Tiger by 1 stroke. I was stoked. Then it happened. Tiger shoots 59, 61, 61, 63 to win the next tourney and all the other golfers get way better... BS!!! Now I have to shoot at least -6 every round just to be in contention. I played the British Open in my second season at +4 for the week and was dead last. The winner was Tiger (does he win all the majors in your guys careers too?!?!) at -28... -7 per round!!!

    Please patch.

Re: CPU scores are ALWAYS extremely low?

This has ruined the game for me.

I'm a golf novice, so I kept it @ the easiest while I learned. Then joined the tour just to see what happens when you win a 4 day tourney. @ the Arnold Palmer in Bay Hill, I shoot a 1st day course record 61, in 1st place. I follow w/a 63, tied w/4 others in first. One golfer shoots a 60 while 6 others tie my 61. Next 2 days, I hit 65 each & fall out of the top 25. Tiger wins w/-32.

Its disgusting how EA can make a game w/a huge, yet easily preventable flaw that takes away from the whole disc. I was playing this thing faithfully everyday. But now, I just don't see how I could ever hope to finish in the top 10, let alone get a trophy.

This type of super scoring and rubberband AI have been in the game for years and EA refuses to acknowledge the problem. Either that or the developers have never watched golf on TV(I'm starting to believe the latter because the devs can't be that ********).

They still think the core buyer are 8 years olds who want to birdie every hole.

The sad part is it's the easiest fix or patch you could make or simply introduce a AI scoring slider which also could be patched into the game quite easily but I guess not enough people are complaining.

I would have to echo the sentiments that I am reading in this thread. I borrowed the game from a friend for about a week and the offline tournament scores by the CPU were ridiculously low (-20 to -40 range for the tournament winners). This is an absolute GAMEKILLER for me and I will NOT be purchasing this game on this fact alone. EA, please patch this issue and I will buy this game in a heartbeat. Its a shame that a game that plays so well on the course is ruined by such a stupid flaw that should be easy to fix. I guess that EA doesn't really care about this flaw though or else they would be addressing the concerns of their customers.

Re: CPU scores are ALWAYS extremely low?

It doesn't fix the problem but I've taken to playing just 2 rounds per tournament. Maybe for a round or two I can keep up with the CPU scores but it is just too ridiculous for me to try to shoot FOUR rounds at -7 or better.
