Ok Divot, what do you feel are fair prices for DLC? You already spend $60 for the actual physical game itself. There is going to be 16 DLC, or 15 if you preorder with Gamestop. They cannot continue to charge $7.50 for every DLC course. 16 at 7.50 equals $120, plud $60 for the game totalling $180. In this crappy economy, who can afford that? I also understand some will be course packs, but EA hasn't released info on what those will entail. On 10 I bought all the DLC courses that were available. I think EA needs to get offf their high horse and reward those who purchased DLC last year, not punish them by forcing them to pay again. What they should have done was put what was offered last year on the disc, and put courses like Pinehurst, Oakmont, Hazeltine, Bethpage as DLC, especially since there are no Tour event held there this year.

Re: Courses?
You can get 28 courses for $49.95 if you go with the Wii version. Would you consider that "getting your money's worth"? I may wind up with the Wii version this year myself, but not because of the course count; rather because it may be the only version which uses True View.Duke Football? Re: Courses?
I have a PS3 cause of everything it has to offer. The Wii is more of a kids gaming system, IMO. They could get 28 courses cause of the Blu-Ray capability, but Microsoft would have a fit if EA offered 28 courses on a PS3 and only 16 on the XBox. And one thing you don't want to do is PO Mr. Gates. How about this, get off your butts Microsoft and design an XBox that does Blu-Ray. I am surprised Mr. Gates didn't blow a gasket when EA said they were not going to support Natal and support the Move.Comment

Re: Courses?
I'm about ready to take a gamble and buy a PS3, rolling the dice that EA Sports will include True View with the "Move" update this Fall. I need a Blu-ray player anyway, so this would sort of kill two birds with one stone. Oh, I would love to have something to play MLB 10: The Show on as well!
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 would be the only game I would have any interest in for the Wii.Duke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach CutcliffeComment

Re: Courses?
Oh poor EA, they're going to go bankrupt if they cut the price by $3-$4 dollars.
I'm sorry, but it's gotten to the point where you're just an apologist for everything EA's done. DLC for other games isn't that expensive, and if it is you get more bang for the buck. 1 course for $7.50 is a joke plain and simple. DLC in general is usually overpriced, but EA isn't helping matters w/ this stuff.Comment

Re: Courses?
rangerrick012, you are correct. EAs DLC is way way overpriced compared to other companies DLC. Next year, they should say screw Microsoft and put as many courses as they can for the PS3. If XBox users want the same amount of courses, then have EA give them 2.Comment

Re: Courses?
Apologist? I think you need to go back and look at my post history....I am anything BUT what you claim. I do however have knowledge of many aspects of Tiger for the consoles and PC that the general public does not, so if I bring some facts with me to support my opinions and discussions with others, I am an apologist? I have stated for a long time that $7.50/course is too much. But $.99 per course for previously released courses does not cover the bandwidth costs that EA pays MS and Sony to release these courses, so I guess that is apologizing for EA....how sad when you have no facts with which to debate with that you then start with the name-calling....what garbage.Oh poor EA, they're going to go bankrupt if they cut the price by $3-$4 dollars.

Re: Courses?
He called you an apologist. I wouldn't call that name calling. Your posts are the ones that are dripping with sarcasm and patronizing whenever someone makes a suggestion and feels like they are not getting full value for thier purchase (which they're not). His post made sense considering that EA has been hosing their customer base with these ridiculous DLC prices year after year for the same courses which can't be even be used in career mode that the customers have been clamouring for the last several years. I think .99 is a fair price since it can't even be used in all modes.Apologist? I think you need to go back and look at my post history....I am anything BUT what you claim. But then again this is a cash cow for EA so I guess if customers are gullible enough to pay for it why not keep doing it. I don't blame EA in that respect.Comment

Divot, one thing I will never do is call someone I don't know a name which is derogatory or degrading, just like I don't by someone I don't know. I have decided to purchase 11 this year cause it seems the positives outweigh the negatives. I just wish EA would be a little more fair with their DLC pricing.Comment

Re: Courses?
You know DLC will be coming and that it will be expensive.
Personally I never worry about it, and focus on the improvements in the game. Seeing EA actively improving the game is a big plus.
Will it stink spending $7.50 for courses? Sure, but then again I did it for TW10 and I played that game for countless hours.Go Sabres!Comment

Re: Courses?
Apologetic Never, just being sincere. I go on and read things and people are always so negative. I hate focus cause it'll run out b4 I can putt preview this 5ft putt 10 times, Tour Pro is moving into Amateur mode, and blah blah blah. EA didn't put a gun to your head and say buy TW or die. Oh well, I'm done venting.
Whew I feel better !Comment

Re: Courses?
You say $7.50 is too much but then say fantasy for $5.99 and $3.99 would be too low with your little sarcastic 'um,ok' remark (sorry if it wasn't sarcastic, but that's the way I interpreted it.) Maybe you should clarify yourself instead of being so smug and beating down everyone's opinions on what would be a fair price. And sorry if you think me calling you an apologist is too harsh. TBH people say much worse on here and don't get offended. I've seen your posts around here on several subjects, and yes you do come off as an EA apologist. Sorry if you don't like that, but that's just my opinion.Apologist? I think you need to go back and look at my post history....I am anything BUT what you claim. Now, maybe if you said what a fairer price would be than $7.50 instead of seemingly justifying it, there wouldn't be this misunderstanding. Capiche?Comment
