Yeah I was disappointed that you cannot have true aim on the regular view. The way it works is that true swing / true view is almost like a separate game. For example, when you are on true swing, you don't get the draw / fade percentage as you are aiming that you have on the regular view.

But I must say mwjr that you shouldn't look at True Aim as something you should hold off on. I recommend in your next game you start using true aim / true view / true swing. It definitely takes an adjustment.

In fact, there are two views (only two views) for true swing. One is horizontal and one is vertical. I use the vertical true view. True view vertical (up and down swing on the screen) is excellent.

I absolutely love true view, and if i wasn't so into FIFA 10 PC i'd be playing it more on the Wii.

True swing is incredibly satisfying. TW 11 is much better than TW 10 simply due to True Swing / True View. It's truly revolutionary. The precision putting at first seems impossible, but after a few rounds you get the hang of it.

Tiger Woods 11 on the Wii is an absolutely amazing game. Anyone who has it and motion+ owes it to themselves to start playing on true view immediately.

Maybe it's just that I'm an old fart, but the TrueAim camera is my biggest adjustment. Plus, I got some really bizarre camera angles when I was in the rough close to the green. I'll give it another try soon.

So here's a question for those of you more knowledgeable: why are there 28 courses on the Wii, but only 17 on the 360? Is it a matter of programming, or is it because EA wants to get as much money out of us possible?

You are mentioning things here of which I am not aware, namely True Swing/True View. Is this something only on Wii ? I have xbox 360. Or am I just not digging enuf into parms. I find some of the nav a bit conusing so far.

I also find that fade and draw do not work at all in True Aim. RB LB as usual from past versions, but there is no response to the buttons. I have tried it while in the B button view of the shot, which is when you did it previous versions, as well as just standing at the tee view. Does draw/fade not work with true aim? Doesn't seem likely and again, I am probably too dense to figure it out! That's me.

You can make the game as "sim" as you want. I've shot everything from a -12 to a +16 on the exact same course just by playing on different skill/difficulty levels...I went from hitting center cut on every drive to sweating it out on the tee box...that doesn't even cover the greens and pin placements...I'm always open for improvements and making things as close to real life as you can get but this game does a pretty decent job (based on your settings). And this is coming from someone who was tired of the same old TW from EA (and sick of EA in general)...I didn't expect much from this game and was pleasantly surprised this year. To me it's more "simmy" than anything they've ever produced and it's the reason I bought it (for the first time in like 3 years).

Courses on the 360 are a lot higher definition and take up more space. Atleast that is the reason I usually see.

                That's spot on right there.

When you play the 1st hole on Pebble Beach which is a dogleg right and drive it close to the trees on the right and into the rough it always place your ball close to the middle of the fairway with a clear shot to the green.

That's OK, it makes up for hitting the invisible branches

If I am not mistaken this is due to the trees hanging pretty low to the ground there and there would be issues with the 3D character and club clipping branches and at this point in TW development, I don't believe they have overcome certain physics issues in the game engine. This is why some shots in the rough near trees or hazards often end up in a different place. It is a limitation of the engine and not EA trying to skirt the rules of Golf...

I noticed this two. I was playing against a buddy of mine and he got pissed when this happened...So I tried it again and same results.

This. It's on the verge of making the game unplayable for me.

I might be in the minority, but I could sacrifice a little graphic glitz if it meant I could get a larger variety of courses.
