Typical EA ripoff marketing mentality. Next year you'll probably have to download the golf balls!!
Steelers, Penguins, Penn State, Pirates, Red Sox, Manchester United.

Probably will wait another 4 years to buy another EA golf game again, so I am good to go with this.

Is this for the PS3? I have an XBOX and pre-ordered the game and did not get Turnberry or Bethpage, I gott pay for em....what I miss? (Gamestop Purchase)

        Not bad IMO.

EDIT - I take it back, 13 of them are $35, the other 5 that are up are another $15.

So $50 gets you every course but the 2 preorder courses (Bethpage Black and Turnberry)

OK I got it figured out. Found my code for Bethpage but I still gotta pay for Turnberry......(3 posts in a row? Everyone must be playing the game!)

Everyone complaining about the price of the DLC, I hope you also complain this much about map packs for games like COD, Halo, etc. It's the same thing and with these lower prices for EA, the money is about the same as well.

I haven't bought a Tiger Woods game since TW '07 so things have changed a bit since then. Do they do discounts on courses like they do for other DLC on 360? What about Bethpage and Turnberry? Will those eventually be available on the 360? Trying to decide whether to buy all 18 now or just wait until a discount day/week shows up.

I broke down and bought 10 of the real courses today, it cost another $40, but I now have 26 courses, and it was well worth it to me.

Sorry, but that's a naked, blatant money grab at its most heinous.
You do not have to unlock ANY courses and haven't since TW11. You also do NOT have to buy the DLC courses, nor are you forced to play them in Career Mode. You can simply skip them and there is virtually no impact to your rankings or Fed Ex Cup standings. Money grab? DO you even consider that each of the real courses have licensing fees attached to them? Not to mention the cost of updating them each year to the newest version? Wow....

This is the only issue I have with the game so far...that skipping events at DLC courses causes ANY drop in rankings. It should only be a bonus for those who buy DLC, not a set-back (no matter how small) for those of us who don't buy DLC.

I'm thinking there is storage issues also, since the Eagle Pack was over a gig. From the sales numbers I've seen, Tiger doesn't necessarily sell well enough to throw all that on another DVD for 360 and keep it at $60 (though I'm thinking would fit on a single BluRay for PS3).

Regardless, I'm a realist, not an EA apologist. Like Divot said, no one has to buy the courses if they don't want to. Even so, the game w/courses still costs about the same as a day at the course (w/cart rental and a few beers).

It's not about the cost of an extra DVD. That literally costs pennies. How many new movies do you see that cost $15-$20 that have an extra disc and ones that cost the same and only have one disc. Alot of BR movies throw in a DVD version and digital copy which is 2 extra DVD discs and are still the same price as one disc Blurays.

It's about making money with DLC that's common in the industry. If people are willing to pay it then they will charge for it. It's simply another revenue source. Notice how the DLC is about half the price this year because not many people were buying it at the higher prices last year so devs adjust the market conditons to maximize profit.

MS also charges a licensing fee with each additional DVD that is shipped with a game which also adds to the certification and testing time. It is not as cut and dried as you try to make it out to be.....

This part I definitely agree with, especially the pricing difference from last year to this year, and the way they bundled the courses. I like it.

TajDeni - If you want to save some money you might think about going to TW2010. It is a significant upgrade over 2007 and has what I consider to be the best combination of courses of any version of TW (if you can get over not having Augusta).
