Re: No power boost or spin allowed at Augusta?
If you only drive the ball 275 in real life, you only hit the ball 275. You can swing as hard as you like, but you aren't going to get a) good contact more times than not, and b) 25 yards more on a drive. You may, with you hardest, best contacted swing hit the ball 10 more yards on a drive. And no way are you going to do be able to do that consistently.
And rangerrick is right, you can control the back/top spin on the shot using the right thumbstick. Like I said, to each their own, I just like to have ANY sports game as sim as possible, and I think this game, on the higher difficulty levels, combined with never using the boosts, provides a good amount of simulation golf. But everyone has their own preferences
With respect to spin, I tried to address that you don't just adjust spin, you also are changing height. That is not all that realistic as I explained in my previous post. You can hit a low shot that checks in real life that you can't pull off in the game.Comment

I also noticed they got rid of the silly golfers you could play as/against. Not sure if this had anything to do with Augusta or not. I kind of miss those.
I definitely miss my goofy outfit options as well.
I suppose it is still worth it to get Augusta in.Go Sabres!Comment
