    That's a completely valid complaint.
I do agree with this... for something completely new... they have done a poor job of allowing the first time Tiger user or casual Tiger guy the ability to comprehend what it all means.... I took the time to read forums, promos, demo, and it still took me time to figure it all out. That, and I still do not feel I have a firm grasp on the impact of each change I make in my set up... Ex... What is the difference between hitting a high shot with the stance and placing the shot meter lower on the ball? What effect does it have? The only thing I really know about the shot meter is 1. You can miss the ball entirely, and 2. I hit lower on the ball out of the rough and bunkers.... That sums it up....

Divot or Oblong, if you could take that back to the devs in an informed non-flaming way.. it would be nice... Great game... but this I can see as a totally valid complaint... this is from a long time Tiger guy...

I will say that while you still don't get any decent feedback on what you're doing wrong, the Collector's Edition does include the Augusta Practice Facility, which is nice for learning the new controls as it allows you to just hit balls and play around with the settings without having to worry about messing up your game.

That definitely could change the scenario a bit... All of this is based on the Early Release for me....

I'd give TW 13 a 4.5 out of 10, but for different reasons than the reviewer listed. It's. Too easy to hit straight drives. Short play is fubar, with a lack of nuance. And the putting meter is dumb.

Just like last year, the game looks great and has some really cool features. They are features I wish TW 11 had, minus Tiger Baby. But the actual gameplay bites.

I am playing on the 360 with a controller. I have a Kinect, but that is not how I want to play. Maybe the Kinect is more fun. But right now, it fails in the one area that matters to me. Gameplay.

This year seems to be geared more toward the hardcore. I personally think this is ea's best tiger to date but the issues you have don't pertain to playing on the highest difficulty. I enjoyed last year's for a week until i was shooting -20 up until Sunday when pin placements were a joke. After shooting +13 on the front 9 at Pebble I knew I was going to enjoy the challenge this year. It feels good to hit an exceptional shot but it doesn't happen often and if you end up in the rough you pay for it dearly since you have to use both sticks at the same time to get under the ball to have any hope of being able to stick the green. I am picking up a move today just for tiger because i have heard good things.

use both sticks at the same time? you literally have to use the left and right analog stick at the same time to hit out of the rough or sand or any non-fairway shot?

The left stick is used for your impact point on the ball and you can't set it and leave it like past years on the top difficulty. It's like analog pitching in the show. I have read some people claim to even be able to whiff on a shot this year in the rough if you aim for the top of the ball, I can't confirm that though.

Sometimes, it all depends on what type of shot you're looking for. If you want to hit it low, aim high. If you want to get under the ball put the stick low. I love it!
