Tiger Woods 13 Title Update 1.02

Reading the EA Tiger forums this AM it appears the PS3 version of the 1.02 Title Update has been released for TW13. I am trying to find out when the 360 version is going to be released as well as a patchlog describing the fixes.

Have the PS3, and it shows the title update 1.02 but when I go to download it, the PS3 resets and nothing happens. May need to restore my files first, to see if that fixes the issue. Its really frustrating.

From what I've tried, the ball on the green doesn't jump like it did before the update. The end of round scorecard for career still shows 3,4, or 5, not 66 or whatever was shot. Still irks me. Live weather for career mode seems to be fixed. Also when using XP to increase your attributes, it doesn't go up like it did before. Added 1 and it went up 1. Will wait for patch release notes to see all issues that were fixed.

I assume they really didn't fix much since issues like the ball landing in a bunker and then placed just short of it after are said to be never fixed this year(even better, just make it across a long water hole and watch it go 100-200 yards back where it crossed).

I guess they have to put out patch notes, but wouldn't shock me to just see some post with little details. The one guy for EA on their forums mentions it as if he may or may not get around to it.

From playing, the only thing of note that was fixed is live weather in career mode and losing the ability to manipulate the strike meter by keeping the joystick to the right allowing you to hit the ball right in the middle in the rough without worrying about it keeping it in place. Of course the arcade guys hate losing this glitch because they want everything as easy as possible. And the stats for your golfer doesn't go down by 1 anymore when you enter the screen. It doesn't appear there's anything else of consequence that was fixed. It was only a 46mb patch so not much else is to be expected which is fine but it took almost 3 months to put out a minor patch.

No, there are certain places where you hit the ball and it will move to a different spot. Presumably, it's because the game can't handle placing the player in the proper spot to make the swing, so it happens most often when you're in the edge of a bunker or along the edge of a water hazard. It can work in your favor or against you, especially when you clear a water hazard by inches and you get moved to the far side of the hazard, sometimes more than 100 yards away.

And yes, the heavy wind appears to be fixed. I also noticed for the first time in about 100 rounds that rain began in the middle of a round instead of the weather staying the same throughout.

Well its been fixed in that live weather now works so whatever goes on in the game is close to what appears on the weather channel so the weather will be constant if you play 4 rounds in the same day. Just make sure you have the live weather set to "enabled" in career mode.

According to a post on the EA site, these are the only things that were fixed in the PS3 patch.....

1.) Boost Pin "pop" in issue resolved in 4 Player Online games

2.) Camera flash / cut no longer occurs when hitting the ball out of bounds or tapping in

3.) Ping information is now properly reflected in ping indicator

4.) Swing follow-through length has been reduced for chip shots so that it looks more like a chip

5.) Strike Meter Fix - A dead zone has been added so that once the user tries to leave a certain range by pressing the Right-stick to the left or right, the strike meter will be reset to the center of the ball

6.) Fixed Course Mastery sync issue when purchasing Course Pins

7.) Fixed long load time issues when creating Photo Game Face

8.) Fixed a crash in the Pro Shop that occurred if the user had been in Photo Game Face

9.) Integration of the EA Sports Arena powered by Virgin Gaming

10.) Users statistics are now displayed correctly while playing Stableford

11.) Fixed putt camera issues when zooming in on the distance marker

Now I'm a little bit worried, I've only played 2 rounds in career mode post patch but both rounds showed calm weather and pre patch it was very seldom that it would have the same weather 2 rounds in a row so I assumed it was fixed but that list of fixes doesn't show it fixed and someone stated on the EA board that it hadn't been fixed. I guess I'll find out tonite when I play a couple of more rounds but there is absolutely no excuse for it not to be fixed.

There's only been 1 PS3 patch so far.

Bad news everyone. The live weather bug has not been fixed. I just simulated 3 straight rounds at Bethpage and one was cloudy and windy, the 2nd one had a driving rainstorm and the 3rd was sunny and breezy so unless the weather changed dramatically 3 times within 5 minutes then they couldn't be bothered to even patch a simple problem like this.

What a ****ing joke. These guys are now officially the worst devs going. Total disregard for the consumers. And one of these guys even stated that it is was going to be fixed and still didn't do anything. Its almost like they take pleasure in ****ing with us. After the bug ridden game this year I think next year they are going to see a sales backlash and no one deserves it more than these guys.
