[ Like others have said, you really have to think about what you're going to do. I set it on Advanced from the get go. In my first round at Superstition, I shot a 91!! Awesome. I sucked bad, but it was great.

    Caseyd,

youre not alone...my first round i shot 102 ...then my second round was an 86, and with more practice with the putting and chipping, my scores right now, in general, seem to hover between 74-78.... whats exciting me so much about this game is that if i ever "light it up" for an entire round, itll end up looking like a legitimate solid round on the PGA Tour, like in the neighborhood of a 66....of course, im just guessing with that number, i believe my best round so far is a 70

Re: Links - how are you doing?

I don't miss a ton of fairways, but a couple times a round I'll just shank a tee shot. I don't know that I'd want it that much more sensitive, because then it'd be way too frustrating. Right now I'm able to get into a rhythm and hit good tee shots, but if I get out of that it's sometimes hard to get back in.

As for missing greens, I do it all the time, depending on wind, what club I have to use, etc...sometimes I hit great shots within 4 ft of the hole, or I'll just miss the green. I'm getting addicted to this game mighty quick

Someone else mentioned this, but what I love is that I shanked one last night, and I was so frustrated that I did it again right after. I had to calm down for a sec and then I hit a good drive. It's challenging, but not so hard that you feel like it's unfair. Now, if I could just get XBL to work from my house...

To me atleast it's not all that fun knowing that you have to buy 50 character points just to hit the ball 275. Or make a 5-iron go 200.

Yeah, I like that as well. From the beginning, you feel like you have a chance without having to power up your player.

exactly....I'd shank a shot, and then right after I'd try too hard to swing, swinging too fast or something, and just completely shank another. It's sensitive enough for me, I can consistantly hit decent drives, but I'll draw or fade one on accident and it'll cost me on that hole

right now, im stuck on the 3rd pro level tournament and trying to beat that Nichols guy in match play...ive been at this repeatedly and keep making those "brilliant" shots at all the wrong times....and i oh so desperately want to unlock St. Andrews
