Rain slows down putts a lot. I haven't noticed any clear effects of the ball during fog or wind on the ball during putts.

Re: Suggested Improvements for OS LINKS TOURNEYS
Rain also decreases the roll you get on your drives, but it helps your approaches land softer and hold the green.Comment

Re: Suggested Improvements for OS LINKS TOURNEYS
Yes..that is why it is necessary to include the rain in some rounds.
I wish they would have allowed adjustments to ground conditions in ways other than the weather, however.
Often courses are softened up on purpose just from sprinklers or hardened by drying out, on purpose.
I do like seeing the rain though as it gives you a good sense of the wind velocity.

Re: Suggested Improvements for OS LINKS TOURNEYS
Thanks guys !! In a recent XSN tournament round, where rain was present, I do recall my putts falling way short on several occasions. At the time, I just chalked it up to misreading my backswing. I'm glad they did'nt overlook this important aspect of playing the game in inclement weather conditions. Also, I'm in total agreement about this showing up at some point during tournament play online.
Also, has anyone else noticed how much stronger the wind is under "Windy" conditions online as compared to "Windy" conditions offline ???? Someone brought this up on the XBox forums and I made a point to watch for it. The wind offline never seems to get any higher than 25-28 mph offline where as online it will max out at about 35 mph ........... HmmmXBL Gamertag: hoos4974

2) Vary the conditions. I think there should always be championship tees and difficult pin placements. However, having 30mph winds every round is not realistic. I think their should be a mixture of windy, breezy and clear non windy days throughout the 4 days. There should at least be 2 really windy days but 4 is kind of odd. Mixing it up would be more fun.

Very good ideas, in fact we do the same thing at my league:
Pin Positions: Medium (Round 1), Medium (Round 2), Difficult (Round 3), Difficult (Round 4)
Wind: Breezy (Round 1), Windy (Round 2), Breezy (Round 3), Windy (Round 4)
We also vary the weather conditions for each round too. Usually at least one round is in the rain and one in the fog. Some courses like St. Andrews we have 2 rain days.
We're doing a 9 week season as well, and having a money system for each tournament to figure out the season standings and who will play in the final match play tournament. Sounds like you guys are on the right track here, just need to get it organized.

Hmmmm, does the weather settings such as rain and fog affect
the ball in flight or on putts ??? In other words, are putts slowed down because of the rain or balls hit into the fairways roll less ??? I've never thought about this until now.....has anybody noticed a difference in ball physics when playing under these conditions ????
