I'm with wawasman. You could ask 10 different people and get 10 different answers. Both games have strong and weak points. It depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for replayability and things to do in the game, TW kills Links. If you're looking for straight realistic golf, Links should be your choice. I have both and enjoy both.

Best damn golf post I've seen in the last 12 months. VERY well said. I want realistic golf and online play, so I have Links.

    Take care,

what if you're a casual fan of golf, but have never actually played golf in real life and dont know much about golf strategies? would you be able to enjoy links?

Anyone that buys Links will be able to enjoy Links. The question is will you enjoy it more than Tiger Woods. That I don't know. Even if I didn't know anything about Golf I'm more into realistic games so I'd prefer Links either way but if you don't care as much about the realism TW seems to have more additions to make the game fun.

The ball reacts properly when it strikes an object, wind and elevation cause major problems, and pin positions can make even par's hard to get on some courses. If you play golf, then you'd never be able to play TW again after playing links. However, if you don't play golf you might think that TW is ok.

I play golf all the time, and I still enjoy TW for what it is, an arcade game. No video golf game will ever truly mirror real life, so games shouldn't be played expecting that. I just play both for what they are, fun representations of the game.

I play golf, and specifically didn't buy Links because when I play on my xbox, I want to be able to do better than I actually do on the course. I want to be able to compete with the big boys and not have to suffer the frustrations and problems that will go along with a golf "sim" like Links. If I want the headaches I'll grab my clubs and play for real.
