The interesting part is that they do have a system that can get a beta version out to people through the EA Season Pass site.... Not sure if they could manipulate that to work for just a select number of people or not, but it sure could prevent a few of these issue being thrust upon the consumers.

The Leaderboards issue is one that just baffles me.... Its a spreadsheet... Its the equivilent of Madden not having the score be accurate at the end of a game....

EA is pushing this as fast as they can, but also making sure they get as many things fixed as possible with this patch to hopefully avoid the need for a second patch. It feels like we are the community Beta Test. What sucks about that is we actually are paying $70+ to be in the Beta. What a business strategy. LOL

The other issue that EA raises that i think is valid is how did this game past certification from both MS and Sony?

Green grid enabled together with calm wind and slow/average greens = too easy. Maybe Augusta 1934 course is easy too but I would like to see more tournaments with breezy/windy weather and fast/tournament greens.

I just posted a score of -13 in the daily even though I had to chip out of forest once, tried to draw my ball around the corner on that 1st par-5. I made par out of that one though but managed to make one bogey later.

I believe earlier in this thread, someone said the tournament was from teh member tees and not the championship tees. If that is true, that might also be why the scores were so low.

Yeah. But anyway slow and calm with grid = shootout in my opinion. Weekly tournament at Augusta is with calm wind too but luckily with tournament course conditions. Much better.

No, but I am disappointed that so many issues have been found since release that it makes me wonder how EA, Sony, and MS aren't seeing the same issues and what EXACTLY is their QA testing protocol because at the end of the day it sucks for all 3 companies when issues of this magnitude are found this quickly after release. If they do not improve on their QA testing procedures and find a way to test on systems exposed to the same environments as users are, then no amount of beta testing in the world will prevent games from being released like this. I am FIRMLY on the end users side on this issue because I am an end user even though I have seen very few issues with my copy.....

You guys are like Tiger in his prime. -13, -12, -11 you guys are unreal. I thought I shot a pretty good round, only to be way off the pace.

Still love the game though, just play the corse.

That's why I have house rules. I don't want to get that good right away. It's supposed to mimic my real golf after all.

I don't even remember which courses were DLC and which weren't since I had everything download before I even booted the game up for the first time. Maybe I. Wrong but I think we have played some DLC course during the last few weeks.

Nothing wrong with a shoot out every now and then, I'd hate to have wind all the time just to raise scores. At some point, the game is just naturally going to be easier as we train our thumbs. Even when we are all leveled up, I'd like to still see some calm rounds every so often. The game is just 2 weeks old and plenty of folks are still learning and building up their golfer, no reason to start punishing them with lots of wind yet. Plus, there was only a handful of people who shot that low, I think less the half of the field was under par.

I still think the game is providing a good balance. Yesterday I felt like I easily shot -8 which was good enough to win. Today, I got off to a horrible start and it took everything I could muster to get back to -1. Holy cow, 1934 Augusta was crazy. The greens were sick, if I didn't know it was a real course, I'd think I was playing some fantasy course.

Can't have multiple tourneys on same day. Off top of my head, courses we have used that were not in base version of game are: Colonial, Royal Melbourne and 34 Augusta

This week 4 of the courses are DLC. Everything will be worked into the rotation it just takes time, plus I'm still not sure a majority of the duffers got all the DLC yet.

I played the daily at 1934 Augusta yesterday and was -6 through 7 holes. Then the wife made us a dinner date with some neighbors, so I had to pause and come back. We got back late and I had a couple buddies come over to watch the National Championship game, so I basically had my round on pause for about 5 1/2 hours. Probably not great for my Xbox, but I wasn't about to start over when I was playing that well. My hot putting cooled off when I finally got back to my round.

I didn't have any bogeys, which was really lucky with the slopes on some of those greens, but I think I only had 3 birdies on the back. I'm not complaining, but I do wonder what might have been if I would have been able to finish while I was "in the zone". LOL.

Some of those holes looked like they were sitting on the side of cliff.

Hey Koolie I was on the course a few holes ahead of you and I looked and saw you tearing it up. I was like DAMN he is on fire!!
