When you are in the trees, try punching your shot out to the fairway and take your medicine right then and there and move on trying to save par or bogey. There is a punch shot available and the idea is to get it out of there and away from trees and hopefully rough. You cannot hit out of trees unless the path in front of you is completely free of trees and you aren't under any trees as the overhanging branches could catch a high trajectory shot.

Yes, I guess that seems to be the only safe option.

It's just sometimes I think I'm doing everything right in regards to club, ball position and it seems like there would be no way in real life I would hit the leaf/branch, but I do and it's frustrating. There was also a couple of times I didn't notice an overhanging leaf and I clipped it, argghhh. It's my only real bugaboo with the game. Hope it's fixed next gen. If leaves and branches had that effect in real life I would be re-shafting a LOT of clubs after snapping them over my knee, lol.

Started par, eagle, birdie. Didn't make another birdie the rest of the round. Such an epic failure with a few doubles down the stretch, I finished and didn't even submit my score. Game over try again tomorrow...

I haven't rage quit like that yet in this game, but that round was so frustratingly bad it's the only thing that kept my controller intact.

Played decent on the daily. Had a double on one of the par 5's with two shots into the water.

I have a control golfer with a draw, and have started using the controller. Kinect just missed too many shots again for me again this year.

Just finished the daily with -2 which I would have been thrilled about, except I was minus 5 going into 16.

Tough putt for sandy par bogey, ok. My first blemish of the round and don't think I have played a bogey free round yet, which bodes well for the Tiger 14 as 13 it wasn't unusual to go bogey free.

The par 3 I set it up hit a clutch shot get perfect tempo and practically paint the line and the ball keeps going left, I'm flabbergasted, it hits the green and goes into the water! To add insult to injury the game gives me a BS drop back with a lob wedge instead of the easy up and down by the green, putt rolls across the hole and I make double. So exciting then such a bummer.

I was hitting some amazing shots out of fairway bunkers, pulling off miracle up and downs and sandies, it was an exciting round. Seems like there is always a mystery shot or two in this game when you have everything right and hit the shot you want and it winds up a bad shot, like my tee shot on that tough par 3. Sometimes I also think I'm set up perfectly for the wind off the tee and hit a great drive and it winds up in the rough. Anyone see the occasional random, mystery result in the game or am I just crying, lol.

We have to find a day where we can get some people together and play Alternate Shot or some other game type.

I'm trying to find games online but people always play the easy mode Pro difficulty... not fun when people are getting birdie/ eagle every hole... I put my games online at the Tour Pro difficulty. People join then leave because they can't spin the ball mid flight and they can't have their easy birdie putt preview.... so dumb.

That was just brutal. +12 on the daily. Just couldn't keep the ball on the fairway from the tee and 3/4 putted 6 or 7 times.

I need redemption, when's next tourneys?

I think I've played with wrong shafts past few days. I was using regular shafts in my irons and was spraying the ball all over the place. I think despite the fact my downswing is always slow in full strokes it's almost perfect. I call it a "48% swing" assuming that perfect shot is exactly at 50% of that bar which measures the swing speed.

Now my power was 90 and it's 95 now and since my swingspeed is almost perfect I figured I try x-stiff's again. And boy did that make a difference, feels much better now. Of course this is golf and I might be changing shafts again in few hours but on the other hand it wouldn't make sense that I would have to use loose shafts if I miss the perfect swingspeed by just a little...

So i'm guessing that stiff shafts should be used when your power is around 75-80 and x-stiffs when power is around 90...

Won my first PGA event. Down two a China Shenan course coming into the #16 reachable par 4, hit my drive pretty good but got the luckiest bounce ever on the green to about 10ft. Made the putt for an eagle. Par for the next hole brought me to #18 tied for the lead on a par 5. Good drive, smacked a 3 wood on the green, two putt for the win at -19. Loving the game so far.

Daily round frustrated me today. Ended up E after 4 bogeys on the front 9. I can now say that putting is the downfall of my game.

Not sure what has happened but my level 100 golfer is gone. Pissed is an understatement. Don't know what happened?? The game this morning has been acting weird and I kept getting kicked out of the ea servers. Wow!!! My golfer doesn't even exist. Its telling me to create my golfer, can't believe this
