Was the Par 3 daily set up easier then normal? I didn't have to do my draw swing once, it was always straight up and down.

It's finally Thursday, I've been waiting until today to start the weekly because I want to follow along with the Masters.


Finally made it to the PGA Tour in my career mode! I thought you had to win 3 times on the Web.com Tour before getting promoted but, after my first win it awarded me my card.

Yeah I noticed the same thing with the swing. I figured it was because I was taking a half swing but I guess not

Yeah I didn't want to leave but they have this really cool FedexCup -style tour on both platforms and only way to join the tour is to join the CC because the weekly competitions are the official tour events.

But I'm lurking at forums as always, OS still rocks.

Uh...yeah. Same thing happened to me. I'm happy about it, but the game didn't follow it's own rules. I'm struggling on the PGA tour...I actually play a little better in the CC LOL

Yeah I didn't want to leave but they have this really cool FedexCup -style tour on both platforms and only way to join the tour is to join the CC because the weekly competitions are the official tour events.

But I'm lurking at forums as always, OS still rocks.

This is going to be sim golf, want people to have fun but shoot realistic scores. You are on the honor system as it pertains to you using a created golfer and not a pro. The honor system also applies to replaying a round, if you froze during the first try its fine but doing it cause you didn't like your first score is a big no no. There will be no boost pins used. If anyone is caught cheating you will be given the boot.

Difficulty: Simulation
Green grid: Off
Strike meter: Analog
Zoom to Aim: On
Wind Display: On
Shot shape: Advanced

are these still the settings? seems last few tourneys i played (weekly and daily) had different settings. i just want to be sure so i can set my offline equally.

last few daily's/weekly's had these settings:

Difficulty: Custom (swing is very hard, which is tournament setting not simulation's "expert")
Green grid: no beads
Strike meter: Analog
Zoom to Aim: On
Wind Display: On
Shot shape: Advanced (but on yesterday's par3 tourney, it was normal)

We need to come up with a FedEx Cup style point system for our tournaments. We make the daily tourney worth a little less, the weekly tourney worth more and the major weekly's worth the most.

This would give some incentive to play all the tourneys and you would be able to measure yourself against everyone else over the course of the season, not just weekly or daily. I know this was mentioned before and didn't really gain any traction. Let's get this done. It doesn't seem like it would be too difficult, although it is probably above my head, lol.

I finally found the fed ex Cup scoring online. Here is how they do it.

For standard tournaments we would use this scoring. The weeklys we could multiply by 2 or 3, and for majors or playoffs we would multiply by 5.

1. 500 points 2. 300 3. 200 4. 150 5. 110 6. 100 7. 90 8. 85 9. 80
10. 75 11. 70 12. 65 13. 60 14. 57 15. 56 and then it goes down 1 point for the rest of the positions. This goes all the way to 70 positions. So if you finish 70th, you get 1 point.

So for a major or playoff (x5), 1st place would get 2500, 2nd 1500, 3rd 1000, etc., 70th you would get 5 points.

As far as I can tell this is what the FedEx Cup uses.

I think ties take all of the points for those positions and add them together and divide them up equally between the players who tied with them. For example, if in a major 5 people tied for 3rd place, you would take the points for 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, & 7th and add them together & divide by 5, each player would get 650 points. 3rd place by yourself would've gotten 1000, and 7th by yourself would've been 450. It's pretty simple, although my explanation my not be very good, haha.

Just let us know when in advance before it starts. Right now I play when its convenient and sometimes if I'm busy like I am now I'll skip a day or two. But if we do something this deep, I'm make certain to get my rounds in.

I would be down to play Augusta again. Reason being is that my console froze on me twice... can't play the weekly now.
