Time to practice a couple rounds in career with these settings as I may be terrible with the sim setup but we will see.

Straight sim? How about the strike meter? Pure analog is challenging enough, having it fade and disappear is cruel and unusual punishment.Comment

Re: XBOX 360 Country Club (TW14)
Also can someone explain to me from a sim perspective as someone who doesn't golf much at all in real life when the sim settings defaults the shot shaping to force you to use draw or fade?
Also is this something that we as a country club can chose to change the setting from advanced to normal so I can shape the shot if I want but not be forced to use draw and fade when I don't want to?
I'll adjust to advanced with practice, just curious as to why this is part of the "sim" settings the game has.Last edited by thedudedominick; 03-22-2013, 08:45 PM.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights

Re: XBOX 360 Country Club (TW14)
There is a option in tourny creation like last year but I believe it's the same as last year where if its selected everyone has to use the Kinect.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Once I got my real swing down after a lot of work I can't help but draw the ball now.
Maybe someone can create a CC for those that want advanced turned off...??Joshua:

I think there's 1 MAYBE 2 pro golfers that hit a straight shot. They all have a primary shape of a fade or draw that they prefer.

I do believe someone made a CC for easier settings already.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights

Re: XBOX 360 Country Club (TW14)
Alright in the clubhouse with a +11 in the first tournament. I got the hang of the draw and fade mechanics, but sometimes I would just shank the shot and then a couple water hazards hurt my back 9. Was doing so well 10-14 being one under for those holes. Then no more birdies and three double bogeys put me at +11 after the front 9 +6.
Now to start my career with these settings to get better.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights

Finished +15 on the Kinect after not playing for a while, so very happy. Was doing well, but had a melt down on 15 with a triple, then put back to back shots in the water on 16 (first one in the stream to the right, second one into the stream to the right of the hole) for a +4. Outside if that, I need to level up my pro so I can use him (used Johnson for this one).

Re: XBOX 360 Country Club (TW14)
So I just finished up our tournament and it was a dream crusher. After starting off like this...
I end up falling apart and shooting +20 on the back nine to end the round +21. I thought I might have a shot at having a decent round for a little bit but it wasn't meant to be. It did show me that I'm capable to having stretches of decent play though.
And I don't know what it is, but I always find myself in the worst spots. I ended up exceeding the shot limit because I couldn't get the ball over this obstacle on 13.
The only good part about the round is that I got to see Skyboxer out there struggling too lol. Not off to the best start in Tiger right now, hope it gets better.Comment
