One thing I've noticed on my X1, is the left hand screen is slightly cutoff so that I can't see the very beginning of course name.

Has anyone seen that?

Also, I will say some of the text is really small especially trying to find the ghost players or when changing loft.

Overall, I like. It is very easy to pick up and the motion of the analog stick makes very intuitive sense.

You can increase the size of your HUD in the settings menu.

Is there a way to play with two controllers on a local console? I keep trying to add a guest to my round before teeing off (using 2nd controller), but when the round starts, only the first controller will work... for both players...

We are having to keep throwing the controller back and forth to each other. We played a round of match play last night and my buddy lost a hole because the right stick "went off" when I tossed the controller to him.

Kind of annoying.

How have people found the course creator on x1 ? I found it so clunky and slow that I couldn't do anything with it.... I don't know how anyone would have the patience to create anything. When you look at how well it rang on the hb studio videos to how it runs on x1 there is no comparison

Don't know about that but the random course I had saved for practice (no modifications) disappeared and when I tried to generate a new one I received an error message.

It shouldn't be. Try a hard reset. Mine was crazy slow when I first tried it, like 15-30 seconds for a change to populate. I did a hard reset and everything is pretty quick now.

The only thing that is hit or miss on my creator is the sculpt land, sometimes it shows fine and other times it shows a giant mess like 20ft high or low... I have to apply and then move the cursor away to see the effect.

Yeh I had that with the sculpt land.... Just had a quick play now and it definitely is quicker... I think though I will just let others create the course I don't think I will ever have the patience lol

With regards to changing the loft, in the developers videos I watched whenever they would change the loft it would automatically adjust the carry distance for the club you were using. Whenever I do it, it will only provide me with a % level change in the shot modifer HUD eg 110%

Anyone else?

Graphics are not what I'd hoped but man after some time with this game, really enjoying the golf, the swing, the putting, the challenge and the variety

Loving it so far! Hoping to get a graphics bump in the near future. Also will be getting the PS4 version as soon as that drops! Finally!! I can stop thinking about the old classic LINKS game!!! Thank U HB!!!

I have just read that hb have said to change your console settings to 720p when running this game as it will improve performance? Anyone else tried that yet ?

Yes, and it didn't have any noticeable effect for me. I performed a cold reboot of my XB1, set the video output in XB1 settings to 720p, and then tried to play Ross Hollow GC (an official course) in offline mode (it's not playable due to low frame rates online). It made no difference in the frame rate that I could detect and Ross Hollow GC remains unplayable, at least for me.

I did notice the loss of image quality with the loss of the XB1's upscaling to 1080p. You have to pick out things to look for to spot the difference, going from one to the other, but it's there!

I just want to update my impressions a little bit after more time with it. The game is incredible.

I am still terrible and loving every second of it. As others have said, the putting is more satisfying than any game to date. Scratch that, the whole game is more satisfying than any golf game to date. I love grabbing random rivals for a round and not checking their scores...it makes for great "live" competition. Watching the ghost balls is pretty fascinating as you think about strategic options.

I have definitely noticed a performance improvement after they made some tweaks. I also switched to a different tv and the graphics are much more tolerable. If they can eventually squeeze out a little more resolution or smoothing this will really be amazing.

This is probably the most fun I have had with a game in a very long time. Keep in mind I am old and don't really have time to grind for attributes or have any desire for a million modes. I just like my sports games to play perfectly, be immersive, be challenging and present a quality simulation. The fact that it has great stat tracking and a level playing field that requires learning, not leveling up...well, that is just the icing on the cake.

I sure hope they keep squeezing the graphic optimization but leave the gameplay alone. I am having a blast.

Thanks. That fixed the issue with the placement of the score bar / course name in the upper left.

I still find the recommended courses on the opening screen impossible to read in those small boxes.
