I don't know what glitch you guys are talking about. I move my putting marker 2 feet past the whole every putt and just hit what I believe to be that distance. Never leave it short??

How do you adjust the length of the putting marker (closer or farther from the cup)? Also I'm assuming that you mean the yellowish beam, right and not the circular reticle? I have never done anything but move it left or right to adjust for the break and pull back my putter to get my distance. Have always wondered if that could be adjusted closer to the hole. In fact on reason rounds, I have noticed that yellow marker being further from the cup it shows the elevation to the tip of of the yellow marker and not to the actual cup elevation.

As far as the tour goes, I'm willing to play another round or two and see what happens with the short putt glitch. It nailed me on my first round for at least 8-10 strokes!

All I know is that after that tour round I went on to play 3 or 4 more rounds over the course of the night, with the grid on, and didn't have it happen once.
Definitely weird that some people have not seen it happen.

You probably also had Shot Selection all the way turned on. This will move your putting marker a few feet past the hole automatically.

Maybe I'll record me playing a couple holes for you guys - I promise you, there is no glitch if you hit your putts.

EDIT: The game defaults Shot Selection as On: From Day 1, I used "Club Only" setting so I've been moving my putting marker since then. Trust me guys.

You probably also had Shot Selection all the way turned on. This will move your putting marker a few feet past the hole automatically.

Maybe I'll record me playing a couple holes for you guys - I promise you, there is no glitch if you hit your putts.

Lol still don't follow you but I'll check it out when I get home. So this is a setting in the menus I need to make?

No you don't have to change your settings. You guys just need to realize settings have been changed FOR THIS TOUR.

I'll record a couple holes and explain what I mean. Maybe I'm wrong who knows.

Wish I would've known that actually made things different before I started playing, but you saved this tour for me. We were told that the yellow beam had no effect on putting distance and I honestly never paid attention to it being placed behind hole with shot selection on or that it changed with shot selection off. Good looking out sir and I thank you.

Well darn, if you're sold, so am I!

See I never knew this about the putting. IMO, HB studios really dropped the ball on providing thorough instructions on how to play this game.... Sigh!

Guess I probably could have figured it out myself had I made the effort. My thinking was that having the grid off was basically just a missing grid and no other change to the mechanics of taking a putt..... WRONG!

This first event is a practice round for many of us. I expect to play much better on the 2nd course. My plan is to try to tackle one event a day. Start with a practice round and then hit the tour. My love for this game has been rekindled.

For me before the patch the yellow marker was set very far back from the hole, so I didn't pay much attention to it.

Now for some reason they set it by default to be short of the hole?

I don't understand why they don't have a Driving Range and Putting Green. This would help me out a lot.

Meh. That just seems like a cop out from them.

No reason for them not having an official one.

Even Tiger Woods had something like that.
