Re: TGC Collector's Edition on Digital Download??
This was supposed to be out two weeks ago. Yes they have made a great game no one is denying that. And we have both said that we have been loyal since day one. The execution of this has been an epic failure, Weather it's been on hb's part, ms/sonys or maximum games. Not sure I want to spend $10 on something that should've have been free to ALL users, after waiting this long.
I can understand the argument that some people have about the extra cost but I've seen Anthony on here explaining it more than once. If you still don't agree, that's fine but at least he's here trying to address the complaints rather than acting like so many other AAA developers that just sit back and laugh knowing that people will pay regardless.
In the end, I paid $35 just like you. The way I figure it, the extra $10 still leaves the price of the game 25% less than most. Considering how much I play this compared to all of my other $60 games, I'm not going to point to that $10 and complain about feeling ripped off. If I want to make that argument, I can turn to more expensive titles. Besides, I have no problem supporting companies that do business the right way. From everything I've seen, HB has been the best software company in that respect, and it's not even close.PSN: JWGoNDComment

Re: TGC Collector's Edition on Digital Download??
So when they were putting out all of the FREE updates, you were loyal but now that PAID DLC is a couple weeks behind schedule, you're not sure that you want to support them? Look, I get it, things are behind schedule. If you think that isn't frustrating the heck out of HB folks, I don't know what to tell you. I just don't understand what the purpose is behind venting that frustration here.

People here are funny.
Unfortunately it is taking longer than originally anticipated. You are entitled to your opinion and to complain...even though I think its a bit silly.
I'm still buying the second it is released...the game has been awesome and looking forward to more content at a very reasonable cost.
Lets hope it appears tomorrow on the PSN store....but if not we will all still live.Former Bison, Argonaut, TSN and Sportsnet employee.

We can be mad or as happy as we want...the DLC won't be available until they post it...when that happens who knows.

Re: TGC Collector's Edition on Digital Download??
People have all the right to be perturbed about the cluster this DLC/update has been.
I'm not so much upset at HB, although I do believe their lack of understanding the process didn't help this situation at all, I'm much more upset with MS/Sony not being able to guide a indy dev like HB through this process in order to help them keep their customer base as pleased as possible. HB is exactly the type of developer that MS/Sony should be keen to work with and employ a more "team" approach to content releases. Everyone would benefit from not being forced to wait what now amounts to over a month for finished content to made available. This type of behavior from MS/Sony is exactly why I believe larger devs don't communicate with the community regarding content releases.
Bottom line is another day passes with no update and no info regarding when we'll see it.Comment

Re: TGC Collector's Edition on Digital Download??
I am FAR from thinking I'm entited to something free. You obviously didn't read my first post. I just don't think it's right to charge some users and not others, then to string them along on the process. No matter who's fault it is. I wasn't going to buy the collectors addition when already have the game. If your going to charge people for something. Charge it for everyone.
As far as your first post...your premise is off. Since the disc-based game is $40 rather than $35 (or $30 now), those people ARE paying for something additional. You can argue about how much they are charging the original digital folks, that's fine but everyone is paying for the DLC. The disc people just aren't paying a second time is all. On top of that, Anthony has posted on these forums already the reasons for the extra charge and they make complete sense to me, even if I do agree that dropping the price down to $5 would seem a little more fair to those early adopters.
As far as the whole HB/Sony/MS certification line of posts, I completely agree that something got all FUBAR with the process. But let's also keep in mind that HB had never planned to go through the process of selling DLC. People want to complain about companies that announce DLC before they even put out games or put the DLC on the disc and charge to access it but here we have one that never intended to do paid DLC at all. When people pushed for a season mode, they listened and added a brand-new mode that was never part of the original plan. When it was announced that they were working on it, they were up-front and told us that there would likely be a charge for it--and that was before the disc version was even mentioned. Clearly, they thought the submission/certification process was easier than it actually is. Sure, I could get all bent out of shape about it but instead I'll look at the fact that I still have a great game and they have been top-notch in their support and communication up until this point. Given that, I'm willing to extend a little extra patience because I know that it's likely to be well-done...and even if there are issues, HB's track record indicates that they won't go un-fixed for long. In the long run, this issue is nothing more than growing pains.Last edited by woodjer; 06-02-2015, 05:04 PM.PSN: JWGoNDComment

Re: TGC Collector's Edition on Digital Download??
Hi guys, sorry for the frustrations that this is causing. It is the same for me believe me. I want to be playing the game at home and making the game at work instead of sitting on email with MS and Sony trying to solve the issue. I'm feeling your pain, believe me.
It was due to inexperience, but on all parties. A game had never been released before where the disc version was out after the digital version and by different publishers (ourselves and Maximum and soon to be another in Europe) so Sony/Microsoft and HB didn't have any experience at getting something like this working with the stores. I'm disappointed it wasn't easier myself.
On a good note though, I'm hearing good things from Sony today so hope to push the update tomorrow. Microsoft is a little quieter but their cert process is more of a black box. But as soon as it's ready I'll push it. Thanks for the understand, AnthonyComment

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

In Microsoft's defence they've been very helpful as soon as they've seen a problem. So no news is always good news with them:-)Comment
