Because you're new to the boards, I'll assume you just didn't know, but a lot if not all of these questions have been answered. Often multiple times. All it takes is a quick search of the forums using the search tool.

In general, I think guys are great about answering questions in the golf forums on here, especially with DivotMaker's relationship with EA.

Lastly, I am going to experiment this weekend on running my putting cursor to the direction I want it, then running it all the way off the green to see if I can dial in any sort of distance feel with the putter.....

I did the "X" button/default swing setup you suggested for full shots and that helped some. Usually what happens is I drop down another club and because I tend to hit everything with a fast tempo, with a splash of overswing, the shorter club seems to be close to the right club with the overspeed/overswing I execute. I didn't have enough time left in my 10 hour trial to experiment, like changing loft, a whole lot with this part, but it already seems like it would be more rewarding than the auto set to which the game defaults.

As for the putting experiment, I tried moving the marker out to 100 feet and tried hitting putts of 4 to 35 feet with it. It didn't feel anything near proportional. It seems the interface is so biased towards hitting 100 feet, that I have to back off the strength well below what felt natural. It wound up being more frustrating than the intended method. It seems my best bet with this is to use the same method I used with Tiger 13's putting interface; set the cursor about 2% further than the desired putt distance and then take just a little less than what the interface is looking for.

I'd like to have a fully proportional putting interface with a maximum distance of 100 feet, but I now realize this would require a major design change, and likely, an all new difficulty level. I don't think something like this is gonna happen, at least not at this point.

Just got the game yesterday and played it about 9 hours straight. Lol.

It's a fun game to play and the courses look visually stunning.

Career mode could be a little better I suppose but I'm not falling on my face over it. If they can improve it later on and add a calendar to the career home screen then that would be great.

Really, this game just needs to add more courses (15 perhaps?) and stop things from popping in like animals and grand stands when you load up a course then this game could be very solid.

I don't mind the online but if they add some of the other modes from older games to give different players a chance to play, and then add more courses, then the online will be very deep.

Overall though I'm really enjoying the game and can't wait for the updates that they mentioned.

And for the record, the infamous Paracel Storm course looks freakin' beautiful.

When Paracel Storm was first shown I was really not in favor of it at all but now that I've played it I'm a fan. Actually I enjoy all the fantasy courses as they still have a realistic feel them. I was afraid they would make them outrageously over the top.

One of the things I love about Paracel Storm is that it's a par-3 course that's also a fantasy. What better way to get kids interested into golf then by letting them play a par -3 course on a fantasy course?

Plus, it's such a fun course for online play.

Graphics are great, but wouldn't we expect that on a new system like the Xbox 1? I certainly didn't expect it to look like the PS2 graphically.

7 real tour courses? There is no such course as the Wetlands, and Lighthouse Pointe. Thanks EA for including so many real courses on a "Golf Without Limits" game. And, it appears I can't even use TPC Scottsdale in my career. Another plus for EA.

The create a golfer, seriously. I pulled out the PS2 and I think my golfer looked better on TW 2004. The animations by my character after making a good shot are a slap in the face. Am I supposed to overlook all of the shortcomings of this game and enjoy my guy doing the running man or flexing like Hans and Franz on Saturday Night Live?

The stupid little sayings in between rounds. "filling concession stands", "racing golf carts", and "feeding wildlife" to name a few. Again, another slap in the faith from a company that charges $60 for an incomplete game. Ask if I'm supposed to see that in between rounds and think "that's hilarious, I'm no longer bothered by the fact that it will take me until retirement age to level up my created golfer at this rate"

The deer, foxes, and other wildlife including the bugs flying around. Was the concept supposed to make me forget all of the things that could have, should have been done to make this game great.

Look, I will keep playing because I spent money on it. I will keep hoping that there will be meaningful updates (more courses, more golfers, a real schedule) but I will not hold my breath. EA has a reputation, well-earned mind you, for over-promising and under-delivering when it comes to their sports games.

I've put all of the settings on the highest level, turned off the green grid etc on three click mode and I still won the international at Troon in career mode by three shots. The problem is the really appalling computer AI and it plays at such a low level. The game would be great if you could change the scoring level for the computer. The AI really needs an overall. I was nine behind after two rounds with the computer leading at 11 under, the leading computer player after four rounds finished at 8 under. Time after time their scores go backwards. It's so frustrating. Well I have nowhere else to go with this game at present until it's AI and scoring levels are patched. I want a challenge and not a procession every game. I've slowly remped up my difficulty level and it seems as I make my game harder the computer scores get lower. It's as if it's scripted for me to win. I know EA heavily scripts their sport games(FIFA 15 for example) but with RM it's very contrived.

I think this game is too easy. With the golfer I created, I win a tournament by at least 25 strokes if I put it on arcade mode, but shoot in the 80s in tour pro mode. I shot a 55 at the AP Invitational, only my 7th round in the game. With my skill level, there's no good balance. I suppose I could try tour pro mode with zoom on, but I would have liked there to be some sort of balance, because there is a really big gap between classic and arcade, and arcade and tour pro.

You mean on Easy mode it's too easy? Doesn't shooting in the 80's means it's not as easy?

I get where you're coming from, but your message came across a little mixed. As your attributes go up on Tour difficulty your golfer will get better. Will that eventually become too easy? I'm not sure yet. I'm finishing anywhere from 3rd to 30th as I usually blow up along the way somewhere.

And just wait til your play the Spring Invitational at Wolf Creek. You'll be ready to pull your damn hair out.

What do you mean by advanced level? Is that the swing mechanic? I play three click and all the assists are off and it's top level and computer scores are woefully low. I'm just a wolf creek and the leader is on minus 3 which is silly?
