Ideally, it would be a swing mechanic that learns my stick speed and adjust club head speed automatically. My club distances would be dictated by that stick speed, but tempo shouldn't be how quickly you flick and release the stick. That's the only complaint I have with their current system.

    Makes sense to me.

I can't say I've experienced the holding the follow through issue though. I tend to always be a touch slow with the backswing, but when flicking it up, I've held it a few times, and sometimes seen +3 etc. Maybe I didn't hold it up as long as you, I'm not sure. Maybe I'm actually not doing it and just think I am. I'll have to pay a bit more attention to it later tonight.

All I am saying is you shouldn't be penalized for holding the stick up after finishing your stroke. If it is an accurate quick flick...holding it up should not make it a "slow" downswing.

That, I would agree with 110%

And that's why I had such difficulty with it to start with. I had a controlled backswing, a fast follow through, and a hold. Made no sense to me that it kept saying my tempo was slow when I deliberately kept changing the actual tempo, rather than the follow through hold/no hold.

It's absolutely bonkers, but it works.
