I hope you find a lot of enjoyment Poly! A lot of hard work has gone into this title, coupled with some incredible community feedback, hopefully will lead to a golf title that the community can really enjoy and help be part of its growth.

What swing interface interests you the most? I mean they've got the entire gamut covered in JNPG (I just love saying that now ), but I can't say enough about how stimulating the Real Time Swing - Controller (known as RTS-C among its adherents) is in this game!

Tim, I'm curious, as the thread starter do you have the authority to change the title of this thread to "Jack Nicklaus Perfet Golf Released" I think with an introductory note, it would be more descriptive of what we're talking about now, and get more folks attention who are browsing.

It won't let me change the title in the forum listing. Maybe someone can let Khelis or Steve know?

Can you please explain the different swing interfaces available, mainly RTS-C?

I'm used to analog and the three click method, but I'm always interested in trying something different.

              Thanks!

I bought Bethesda CC two days ago @ $6.99 (it's now been dropped to $4.99, btw) just out of curiosity. It's a good course, but honestly, I can name a half dozen free, user made courses that I like better. I think the flow of quality user made courses is going to be such that you won't feel like you're missing something by not buying licensed courses.
I see, I thought there was a pay wall for courses after reading that.

It looks great, and I will get to experience it down the line with a sale but I cannot pay $35 when it was $20 a day ago. Get paid Thursday and thought about jumping on it.

Either way, enough of my ranting.. Congrats to the studio on the sponsorship.

What will change in the game now this announcement is official?

I know that Nicklaus course design is using PG to preview courses to clients but is the game going to change in any way.

If you've ever played Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 though 2014, it used real time swing with the controller. Links 2004 on the XBox used it, and most recently, The Golf Club's primary swing interface method is real time swing controller. You swing the club purely with the thumbstick (left or right). JNPG just takes the thumbstick swing interface to a level I didn't think was possible. It's looking at your swing patch deviations, backswing distance, clubhead swing at impact and factoring them into the shot result. You have to feel it to appreciate it.

It will change nothing in the game that I can see. It will likely give PP access to some Nicklaus Design courses to a level they wouldn't have otherwise had.

Darn. I was sorta hoping for a new IP resurrection of the old Jack Nicklaus golf series, of which "Unlimited" was one of my favorite time-sucks of all time on PC (second only to "Civilization", in all its forms and versions...but not by much). I must have designed 50 courses on that game...and that was before the interwebz so I couldn't download art assets that more talented people made - anything you wanted that wasn't in the stock objects set you had to create yourself, on this very primitive "paint" type program. Anyway, good times...

The controller swing interface in this game is so far ahead of anything else I've ever played that it's unbelievable. As you stand over a shot with a controller in JNPG, you're sweating a wider array of outcomes because the interface is so dynamically balanced to model and reproduce swing errors that your senses pick up on it before your intuitive mind does... it's incredible! Little waves of euphoria trickle down my spine when I connect with a 5-wood approach from 235 yards out and send it where I intended... 60% of the time, I'm going to miss the green with this shot though, but your senses tell you why right after you hit the shot.

I can't compare the course creation tools because I don't have access to Course Forge. All I read says it requires more knowledge of Unity 5 to get the most out of it. It seems to allow a lot more custom objects than GNCD, and the courses wind up looking a lot more distinctive, as a result.
So I read this and now this is happening.....

You and over 2,000 others did that yesterday and earlier today so far Spend some time at the practice range, particularly if you're going to be using the RTS controller swing. The RTS-M (mouse) swing is also a learned skill that will take some time from what I read.

And if you're planning on using the left thumbstick as the swing stick, be aware that the tuning doesn't follow from the default right swingstick to the left and you're going to have infuriating control problems. The only way around it, currently, is to remap the right thumbstick to the left and vice versa, but that's going to require an XBox One Elite controller, or a Titan One or Cronus Max controller adapter with other XBox One and 360 controller to make it happen. I'm using the XBox One Elite and have remapped the right stick to the left and it works beautifully.

I use the right thumb... Just shot 11 on the first lol... I like the putting feel. Can you get shot feedback after.... Only thing I noticed that I really don't like in the ten mins I have played is choosing controller it relinquishes mouse control in the menus... Have I done something wrong?
