Re: PGA Tour 2K21 Hands-On Preview
The fact that they are using user-created courses for the "majors" out of the box, yet won't let users swap out for whatever course they want in its place is comical and just another in a long line of major missteps (no pun intended) for this game. Whatever 'data' they're going by (if any) or whoever they are listening to, they should stop doing that, because they are seriously mis-reading the market right now.
You couldn't come up with a list of things that people DON'T want in a golf game that is more comprehensive than what has been revealed so far for this game.Comment

Re: PGA Tour 2K21 Hands-On Preview
I went over this before, but in my opinion there are various ways to make a golf game harder. My issue with the TGC games is the difficulty is mainly built into the swing. If you have a good swing you will score amazingly well. In some other 3 click games perfect swings did not equate to perfect shots. If you did not factor in the uphill / downhill lie or sidehill lies or account for heavy spin you could have a perfect swing and be way off. In shot online for example in some shots you had to add 100+ yards to shots if you were on a heavy uphill lie. You also had to learn 3/4 and 1/2 shots to cut down crazy spin. Same things with the Links games. Using only a analog swing is simply creating a physical difficulty to a game instead of adding more depth to the actual gameplay. If you really wanted a challenge in Links you could switch to champ or elite which then required you to have a very good swing along with course knowledge and good feel in general.Comment
