Anyone seeing delayed swing accuracy on PS5 after the patch?

For the first time ever I’m actually seeing a few swing glitches/slowdowns/stutters on PS4.

Had a few in my last round, but who knows, maybe my controller is telling me it’s over.

I played a round at someone's really well done version of The Country Club in Brookline, MA on PS4 today, and much of the round featured slowdown and stuttering. I assumed it was because the course features a ton of planting and tall grass everywhere. Seems I might want to keep an eye out for further frame rate problems.

Yikes...this game is starting to get like madden, patch something, but break something else in the process...

Played the same course, definitely seems like the tall grass according to the designer. Great course, so the stuttering was a bummer.

For sure...and it sounds like someone played it on their older Xbox One, and had the same issues. So it appears to be a result of the planting.

It could just be me putting the game down for a bit and then coming back to whatever they patched but man the swing feels super wonky now and I’m lacking any semblance of tempo I had before they changed things. Thankfully didn’t get any putting glitches but numerous times I took the club back on a long shot and it just wouldn’t register my downswing. I’d just sit there doing a backswing and then it would just reset.

                I’m on Xbox series S.

I'm not hearing this about the tempo from any of the Series X guys, post patch. You say you weren't having tempo problems before the patch on the Series S? I want to make sure... when you said in your second sentence that you took the club back on a long shot and it wouldn't register your downswing, that was prior to the patch? It does register your downswing now?

I've played the game on both the XBox One X and PC version now since the Dec. 10th patch, and I can't tell any difference in either of them. I did do a new swing calibration on both versions since the patch, before trying to play a round however. Have you tried a new swing calibration since the patch? If not, it might help.

My bad for not being clearer. Taking the club back and not registering on the downswing is post patch. It was relatively fine pre patch aside from a few times here and there. I “upgraded” from a day one Xbox one where the game ran perfectly fine to a Xbox series S where the issue popped up from time to time and now to post patch where it’s nearly every time I take driver.

Yes, I tried the swing calibrations and still the problem persists.

Is it exclusive to the driver, or just more common with it? Has it happened on a pitch, splash, flop, or chip shot?

I can't recall reading a post patch report from a Series S owner right now, but I'm searching for one to see if the problem you're describing is common.

Does this game look better on the X series X ?  I have it on the Xbox One but haven't been able to buy the XSX yet. Just wondering if it looks better, not that it looks bad on the One, just curious.

More common with driver, maybe 6-7 times in the one round I played after not playing for a few weeks. Obviously this could’ve been just my issue and my question was basically for others that play more than I do. I just turned the game off after that and went to something else, so I’ve got a small sample size. I’ll fire it up later and see if I can replicate the issue or if I was just screwing up but I mean pulling the stick back and pushing it forward shouldn’t be as difficult as that one round I played made it seem.

I found this post from a Series S owner who said he had occasional problems initiating a downswing. This is from the TGC Tours forum. I'll link it so you can read it in its full context: https://tgctours.proboards.com/post/611513
